Good day.

I'm afraid a mistake has been made. As I understand it, it's the Seelie court which should seek my loyalty, and yet I have found myself among the Unseelie. I intend no offence to members of either court, nor disloyalty to the court I have been placed with, yet it is a perplexity. Simply put, I am left to wonder if this was indeed the intent and there has been no confusion, or if my own confusion is sound. It's...troubling, for reasons I apologise for not detailing.

Similarly, I'm looking for a friend, most likely among the Seelie, if present. He's about seventeen, Japanese, and you'll know him for a foolish innocence and investment in justice. Better still, being terribly easily flustered.

[Giving a name would be better, and it does make it apparent this friend is his Master, to anyone in the know, but it is still even just a little bit safer to keep Tatsumi's name secret. He can't jeopardise the boy's safety.]

Ah, one more thing. I'm a doctor, therefore if anyone is ever in need of medical attention, I am always available, particularly for those outside the courts who may not have access to their infirmaries. I should note, however, my practice may not be up-to-date for some. Although I do promise I don't suck. [He laughs lightly.] -That's right, a name would be helpful, wouldn't it? I suppose it's best to continue with Berserker for now, although I am aware there is another by the name. If that name holds meaning to you, I believe it's important we speak. Perhaps more privately.

Well, it is not particularly for being unhappy, exactly. Although...well, yes, in certain cultural backgrounds it would be frowned upon, and that is certainly a worry.

No, not really! At least, I wouldn't say anything is inherently wrong about the court itself. Merely a personal...quibble.

Certainly they do. Otherwise, so few would come. Moreover those who did would be a certain breed of... [He would say 'man' or 'person', but...] being. Likely more inclined to the Unseelie. Which, to be sure, there is nothing inherently malign about the Unseelie. As you say, many are good and kind people. I do indeed have friends in the Seelie court, at least one, though I worry another I am meant to protect may be there, or very well could, someday.

Excuse me, but do you know what the differences are? I wasn't, uhm... awake when the fairies explained it. This castle is very pretty but I don't know why people are chosen for one or the other.

I had to do some asking around, admittedly. There is always a reason for these things, after all. But certainly I can explain it to you, to the best of my own understanding. Most simply, it seems the Seelie embody order, while the Unseelie are on the end of chaos, or disorder. Rigidity and laws versus free-thinkers and those with an utter disregard.

Ah- it isn't an assumption, exactly, only a small worry, as well as preference due to personal matters involving commitments to being with another. As for the latter, I'm afraid I didn't mean it that way at all - an issue of the syntax of my era.

You could always try to offer yourself to the other court, if you feel the placement is wrong, but they likely won't have you. Others have tried here.

What tends to be the result of this course of action...? I don't imagine either would be very accepting after such an attempt. Moreover, truly I should rather be without commitment to one side. War is an ugly business, and I would not wish to offer treatment based upon alliances.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't put too much stock into the whole alignment thing, given that they're a bit broad and I'm not sure if they always fit.

Granted, I'd expect someone who could be summoned into the Berserker class to qualify at some point in their life, though I'm not sure what's being considered...

Truly, I should think the current mindset should be given far more weight. Still, for a short period, at one time, it may have been appropriate to me, yes.
