I'm afraid a mistake has been made. As I understand it, it's the Seelie court which should seek my loyalty, and yet I have found myself among the Unseelie. I intend no offence to members of either court, nor disloyalty to the court I have been placed with, yet it is a perplexity. Simply put, I am left to wonder if this was indeed the intent and there has been no confusion, or if my own confusion is sound. It's...troubling, for reasons I apologise for not detailing.

Similarly, I'm looking for a friend, most likely among the Seelie, if present. He's about seventeen, Japanese, and you'll know him for a foolish innocence and investment in justice. Better still, being terribly easily flustered.

[Giving a name would be better, and it does make it apparent this friend is his Master, to anyone in the know, but it is still even just a little bit safer to keep Tatsumi's name secret. He can't jeopardise the boy's safety.]

Ah, one more thing. I'm a doctor, therefore if anyone is ever in need of medical attention, I am always available, particularly for those outside the courts who may not have access to their infirmaries. I should note, however, my practice may not be up-to-date for some. Although I do promise I don't suck. [He laughs lightly.] -That's right, a name would be helpful, wouldn't it? I suppose it's best to continue with Berserker for now, although I am aware there is another by the name. If that name holds meaning to you, I believe it's important we speak. Perhaps more privately.

And they still haven't found a conclusion to this war. It seems they've no concept of wasted efforts. Or lives for that matter...

Besides, doctors compartmentalize to allow themselves to work, yes? The same concept applies here.

Such distinction is certainly of import to science, yes. However, I am not one who would use the lives of others to meet my own end, or to conduct experiments. In that, there is a great difference. Chess is a game, one I very much enjoy, human lives are not.

But medical science does involve the use of lives for the betterment of the whole practice, in the end. This isn't me contradicting or disagreeing with you, but an observation.

Of course you would be absolutely correct. The difference lies in several points. For medical research over all, if such sacrifices must be made, it is not only for the betterment of the practice, but humanity as a whole. To cure some disease. For my own purposes, however, I have always preferred if I must use a life, if should be one already on the brink. Or else myself. This war, on the other hand, is not for anyone's greater good but the rulers' own.

Now I must question your own opinions - between now saying you cannot disagree with what I have said, and yet asking such provoking questions of me, I cannot quite tell.

Ah, that would make sense, then. I confess it a relief to hear others take a neutral stance, as so many have chided me for such thinking. Saying it's impossible to stay away from involvement.

Find where the biases in information lie. Cut to the truth. Spread that to everyone, and hope that they make the right decisions.

A sort of infiltration. You must have thought this through rather thoroughly. Hearing such a take on it, I feel I would be remiss if I did not somehow follow suit... It would be quite the opportunity.

Indeed, now you've said it, I find it hard to believe the thought had not occured to me. It is rather obvious. But then, I suppose you must possess a greater inherent bravery than I.

I've also had more time to get used to the idea. You're new, and this is overwhelming.

Even so. It should not be so overwhelming for me. [He has been called to a war before, after all.] I believe the issue lies more in dedication to certain guidelines, which in such circumstances may become a hindrance.
