Good day.

I'm afraid a mistake has been made. As I understand it, it's the Seelie court which should seek my loyalty, and yet I have found myself among the Unseelie. I intend no offence to members of either court, nor disloyalty to the court I have been placed with, yet it is a perplexity. Simply put, I am left to wonder if this was indeed the intent and there has been no confusion, or if my own confusion is sound. It's...troubling, for reasons I apologise for not detailing.

Similarly, I'm looking for a friend, most likely among the Seelie, if present. He's about seventeen, Japanese, and you'll know him for a foolish innocence and investment in justice. Better still, being terribly easily flustered.

[Giving a name would be better, and it does make it apparent this friend is his Master, to anyone in the know, but it is still even just a little bit safer to keep Tatsumi's name secret. He can't jeopardise the boy's safety.]

Ah, one more thing. I'm a doctor, therefore if anyone is ever in need of medical attention, I am always available, particularly for those outside the courts who may not have access to their infirmaries. I should note, however, my practice may not be up-to-date for some. Although I do promise I don't suck. [He laughs lightly.] -That's right, a name would be helpful, wouldn't it? I suppose it's best to continue with Berserker for now, although I am aware there is another by the name. If that name holds meaning to you, I believe it's important we speak. Perhaps more privately.

I doubt it's a requirement to have none of that to be here. I don't think it really matters which "here" you're in. It's rather ridiculous to complain about such a thing in such a manner, because of that.

You mistake my intent. I do not mean to complain, only to be certain there has been no mistake. To be frank, as it stands I have no intention to fight for either court. Certainly most should hold mingling ideals, but you see, mine are particularly strong.

Precisely. I do not wish to be held to the same standards as he, or at all associated, though certainly in some ways I must. Rather, why should his qualities be taken into greater consideration than my own? He is the parasite, not I.

How is he a parasite, Berserker?

It was myself and myself alone for the better part of a lifetime, before a severe mistake on my part gave life to him. He exists only within me, stealing what he requires to survive. Lying dormant in fear, whether of myself, or others. That is certainly a parasite's existence. Moreover, I would advise you against associating with him. Both for your own sake and mine.

And I care little about anything else. So for my sake it hardly matters.

That is far from the sole reason he should be avoided. Murder is not at all his only hobby, though it is certainly the most prevalent. Furthermore, to be associated with a man who conducts himself so could lead to your name being dragged through the mud as well, and he would gladly allow it, for his own security.

I don't care about my name. I didn't mind speaking to him because he was interesting, and he agreed to tell me if he heard anything interesting. It isn't as though there's anything more to it than that. If he becomes boring or if he annoys me, I'll deal with it accordingly.

Both, now that I think about it. My intent was more on the end of speaking to him - encouraging him. However, there are surely pieces of information which would be dangerous left in his hands.

I'm entirely aware that he requires no encouragement, yes. But he is all the more likely to come to existence if you become associated with whatever it is he considers to be a good thing. When you are around, that is.

Unfortunately something along those lines is the only option I have. Until I can be rid of him, I am unable to trust anything to myself.

You mustn't speak of it, of course. It was a mistake, a scientific experiment which did not work quite as intended. Rather, more the opposite.

The elimination of the qualities he represents and distorts to an obscene extreme. I hoped the formula would separate the good and evil in men, so as to remove the evil. Certainly it separated them, but instead created another self, far more wicked than my own petty evils.

For the good of the world. Without that desire to do evil deeds, so many of our problems would be solved. At the most extreme, it could lead to a world without wars. At the least, a lack of crime. Who wouldn't end such horrors as murder and assault if they could?

Of course, what sort of person you are would rather color that even if it had worked, wouldn't it? What you considered to be good or evil. Did you plan to ask people if they would agree before you cut away parts of themselves, or were you going to do it all on your own, judge and jury?
