[ The video is aimed largely past the speaker, to the twichting-writhing forms of three snake-like horned-creatures, the crackles of electricity still racing across their scales as they move. The locket is likely proper up on a rock or tree somewhere, as the speaker is turned to face the worms, his arms up and tattoos glowing electricity crackles from his hands. He is standing on land near a small river-stream near farmsteads. ]

Attention.

I am Kaldur’ahm, recently brought here with the rest of you. I was exploring the rivers and streams nearby and found that several had been blocked by these creatures, and that they were attacking the farms homesteads.

[ One of the worms seems to recover from the temporary paralysis, and lunges towards Kaldur, who leaps away and grasps two devices firmly in his hands. He jumps up again slams downwards on its tail with a water-formed spiked mace, inadvertently severing part of the tip from the worm. He bats the rest of the worm back further away and continues. ]

I am requesting assistance. Several of the civilians have been bitten, and are displaying signs of being in a critical condition due to the creature’s venom. I have been attempting to combat these worms for a few hours, and they grow more resistant to my electric paralyzation with each attempt I try.

[ The severed tail-end starts wriggling violently, and he forms a sledgehammer to knock it back several yards, closer to the still-paralyzed worms. ]

They are quick to regenerate from severed pieces, like echinoderms.

I need those who can help me combat these creatures and those who can help transport the injured to the castle, as well as individuals to help care for those injured by the worms.

[When she had arrived on the scene, Elincia's first line of duty had been to stop to heal the civilians. When they were as well as what her healing staves could offer them, she put the youngest on the horse she had taken from the stables and set the most able bodied civilian to guide the child back to the hospital and to send the horse back later with more aid before taking off to aid the others in battle.

With her sword at ready and her healing staves within reach, Elincia charges into battle, twisting out of the way of the worm's fangs and swings her sword, slicing through the worm's side and drawing blood. It screeches and Elincia is quick to retreat before it can strike at her again. Even in the heat of battle, Elincia makes sure to keep an eye out for the others who are also fighting, ready to aid them with a quick heal of her physic staff if it becomes necessary.]

[ They who leave the castle to fight alongside those in need do so under the watchful eye of the Elvenking, right up until the last of them ride out. It's then that he imprints his own Art, akin to a Shutting Spell, on the grand gatehouse of the castle proper and its portcullis, cementing them in place; nothing will shift them, destroy them or gain entry to those ill-equipped to bear arms within the stronghold's walls. On occasion, when he receives notices via the lockets from those outside, the gates are opened to admit the wounded. They seal with finality each time they close.

He can be found sending those who need weapons to the armoury and arranging the guards atop the outer battlements into a better defensive position where they might keep watch, his crown of leaves left behind in his chambers within the Keep. There is a tent erected in the bailey (at his command via the servants) and within it are no chairs but a table and a large map of the Drabwurld with small figurines placed on it, markers that cite worm-attacks. All in all, he moves swiftly from here to there, as one who has run his own fortress is prone to do. If anyone needs to contact the castle and report in, whether by locket or otherwise, he isn't opposed to being the one that networks the worsening situation. ]

[ He calls his son once the first wave of the injured have returned, tracking his way from the bailey to the infirmary as he uses his inherent Arts to send those who have had the good fortune to already be treated by the healers into a restful sleep. ]

[Kili'd been in a bit of a hurry and there hadn't been time to find a bow before joining the fray. Armed only with a single dagger, not at all his weapon of choice or fighting style of expertise, the young dwarf charges into battle with a whoop and a shout of du bekar!

There are teams organizing at the castle with the exact locations of worm sightings. I would ask that everyone travel with a team, for their own safety, as well as if others are encountered that need assistance, that they may splinter further to assist those they come across.

[ Kaldur takes a quick cast around the battlefield. There seem to be enough people for each team, and they are beginning to make actual headway on the worms here. ]

I need a few combatants at the castle, to help defend it should it be besieged, and to speak with the tacticians on how to deal with the worms, and devise a way to eliminate them, as traditional methods of weaponry are unsuccessful.

Thranduil and Staff Sgt. Grimm are in charge of the castle-side operations, your expertise in dealing with similar monsters would be well served there.

These worms are only a short ride north. Perhaps under an hour. [ He's guessing from the time it takes for squads to rotate out with wounded and return. He swam most of the way here, and that is not a true estimate of time judgement. ]

Thranduil and Sgt. Grimm are handling things back at the castle, they will have a better estimate and be able to direct you where needed, should you wish to assist.

If you could assist Beta Squad it would be the most helpful.

So far, only fire has been shown to halt healing and regeneration, severing the creatures only increases their numbers. Still, any assistance in slowing down the creatures and helping with evacuation of injured and civilians is appreciated.

Fire will prevent it from healing and regenerating. Other methods will not.

[ He's moving now, and with the near-complete establishment of fire supplies for all the squads, he is ready to take a chance at testing to see if there is a way to defeat the creatures once and for all. ]
