[VIDEO] 9 April [SEELIE] A Call to Arms [OPEN]

[ The video is aimed largely past the speaker, to the twichting-writhing forms of three snake-like horned-creatures, the crackles of electricity still racing across their scales as they move. The locket is likely proper up on a rock or tree somewhere, as the speaker is turned to face the worms, his arms up and tattoos glowing electricity crackles from his hands. He is standing on land near a small river-stream near farmsteads. ]

Attention.

I am Kaldur’ahm, recently brought here with the rest of you. I was exploring the rivers and streams nearby and found that several had been blocked by these creatures, and that they were attacking the farms homesteads.

[ One of the worms seems to recover from the temporary paralysis, and lunges towards Kaldur, who leaps away and grasps two devices firmly in his hands. He jumps up again slams downwards on its tail with a water-formed spiked mace, inadvertently severing part of the tip from the worm. He bats the rest of the worm back further away and continues. ]

I am requesting assistance. Several of the civilians have been bitten, and are displaying signs of being in a critical condition due to the creature’s venom. I have been attempting to combat these worms for a few hours, and they grow more resistant to my electric paralyzation with each attempt I try.

[ The severed tail-end starts wriggling violently, and he forms a sledgehammer to knock it back several yards, closer to the still-paralyzed worms. ]

They are quick to regenerate from severed pieces, like echinoderms.

I need those who can help me combat these creatures and those who can help transport the injured to the castle, as well as individuals to help care for those injured by the worms.

[She follows the movement of his hand and moves closer to the map to observe where their forces are positioned. She traces her finger on the map, searching out places where they could bottle neck the worms or gain some sort of higher ground. Then her eyes dart back up to his.]

But I can't say it's similar to a walled castle.

[Though she did defend a castle like this once before. But her success was owed as much to the Doctor as it was her own skills.]

I have known cities of Men. Is London a prosperous place?

It is.

It's the capital of the country of England and of the United Kingdom. So there's plenty of international businesses, arts, universities, music, all sorts of things.

[firith]

[ 'International' has him lifting his chin curiously, but he thinks he catches the meaning. ]

Alike to Gondor in the far south, then. A city ruled by a just king, the son of a man who proved his worth with great deeds and bravery. Who rules London?

Sounds like the perfect sort to be a king.

[She cocks her head. It must be strange to hear of things like parliament when you come from a land of just kings.]

No one really rules. We have an elected party and prime minister that run things. They get voted in by all everyone in the country.Our Queen is brilliant but she doesn't have much power anymore. Kings and Queens have gone a bit by the wayside.

A shame. A ruler ought to display an example to their people, not sit on the sidelines of debate or battle like a pawn. No offense intended, my lady; it is not the way of Elven rulers to do any such thing, you must forgive me.

No need to forgive.

I've been plenty of places with just kings and queens who are involved with their people. It's impressive, really. I do admire them.

[ Curiously tilting his chin like a nosy snake. ]

Sort of.

I saw the faeries sort of... mingling about in the field near my house and so I followed them. Couldn't contain my curiosity. Not everyday you see a faery.
