[VIDEO] 9 April [SEELIE] A Call to Arms [OPEN]

[ The video is aimed largely past the speaker, to the twichting-writhing forms of three snake-like horned-creatures, the crackles of electricity still racing across their scales as they move. The locket is likely proper up on a rock or tree somewhere, as the speaker is turned to face the worms, his arms up and tattoos glowing electricity crackles from his hands. He is standing on land near a small river-stream near farmsteads. ]

Attention.

I am Kaldur’ahm, recently brought here with the rest of you. I was exploring the rivers and streams nearby and found that several had been blocked by these creatures, and that they were attacking the farms homesteads.

[ One of the worms seems to recover from the temporary paralysis, and lunges towards Kaldur, who leaps away and grasps two devices firmly in his hands. He jumps up again slams downwards on its tail with a water-formed spiked mace, inadvertently severing part of the tip from the worm. He bats the rest of the worm back further away and continues. ]

I am requesting assistance. Several of the civilians have been bitten, and are displaying signs of being in a critical condition due to the creature’s venom. I have been attempting to combat these worms for a few hours, and they grow more resistant to my electric paralyzation with each attempt I try.

[ The severed tail-end starts wriggling violently, and he forms a sledgehammer to knock it back several yards, closer to the still-paralyzed worms. ]

They are quick to regenerate from severed pieces, like echinoderms.

I need those who can help me combat these creatures and those who can help transport the injured to the castle, as well as individuals to help care for those injured by the worms.

[He is very grateful for that; he has treated many elves and men far less patient and graceless. His healing is probably nothing like what Elincia expects of magical healing. All she'd see is him being very glowy for a little bit.]

Nay, I was the chief marchwarden for my liege. Healing is but one of the skills I use as part of that.

[Oh, she was expecting a staff of some sort but this is definitely unusual. She hadn't heard of the term 'marchwarden' before, but if she had to make a guess]

There is part of my duties, aye. To keep watch over the borders of the kingdom and if the my liege so chooses to send me abroad for certain tasks as he sees fit.

[And there, healing is done and he's going to bind up the wound now.]

The wound is to a bad one, lady. With some rest you may return to the battlefield if there is still need.

It seems like there is still a need.

[She stares out at the battle field, watching small figures in the distance fight. The worms weren't that strong but there were many that seemed to slip past their defenses no matter hard they tried. She closes her eyes and sighs and when Beleg is done, pulls her tunic back down over her wound]

Thank you for your help, Sir...

[It occurs to her she never caught his name]

[Beleg turns his head to follow his gaze. He will stay here behind the lines to check for more wounded that needs healing, but otherwise he'll head back into the fight as well.]

I am called Beleg Cuthalion, lady. And I believe our allies are able to hold the foul beasts back while you rest for a while.

[She repeats to herself and nods. She might have been a fast healer but even this kind of wound took time and she wasn't willing to use her limited healing resources on herself when there were others who might need it more]

Our allies do seem to be extraordinarily powerful.

It is indeed fortunate that we discovered how to deal with these beasts early, or there would have been far more dead and wounded. Perhaps with our combined efforts they will be stopped here.

[Beleg begins to repack his medicinal supplies and to do a quick check of his weapons.]

[She keeps her sword out, just in case.]

Hopefully. As long as we can keep them from attacking more civilians...

[There was a slight frown on Beleg's face as he studies the battle.]

Unfortunately I believe our forces are being pushed back towards the castle. The destruction of the worms are not being undertaken fast enough.

[She studies the battlefield closely, trying to search out the weak points and takes note of where they needed more people.]

Then it seems like I will have to return to the battle soon.

[The need for more people has never been in question. It was a delicate balance the defenders have; those who can slow the worms down with those with the ability to stop them for good with fire.]

Myself also. [And here comes another walking wounded towards.]

[She nods at him and pushes herself up, heading for an area where she could recuperate without putting herself or any others in harms way]
