[with many trial and errors, jean finally managed to figure out how people video record on this thing!!! not that he even knows what a video is other than people actually moving on this... this fancy looking locket. but whatever, the point is that he finally managed to get it figured out!

well sort of. okay so he still might need to work out a few kinks when it comes to using this thing. but he got this for the moment! or at least he thinks he does. anyway- the video starts off by being to close to his beautiful face. he looks at it curiously before murmuring quietly to himself. he then adjusts the space between himself and the locket a few moments afterwards and finally comes up with something decent.] This is stupid. [sigh!!]

Alright, I've got a question I want to ask but never really got to ask when I first got here. Thank you Titan Worms. [ssssssuuuuure someone might have mentioned it's actual name to him, but ehhh. this worked out just fine.] But anyway, I was kind of curious to know if anyone knew anybody that was brought here but is dead in your own world? [he pauses.]

Like, I've got this friend who's here, and he died in my world. But.... It's like he doesn't even remember dying in the battle we were fighting in. He remembers fighting in it, but he doesn't remember fighting a Titan by himself. Anyway, I was wondering if something like that happened to anyone else that's here. [he backpedals a little, because oh yeah. marco can probably see this shit.] I mean- it's not that I don't mind that he's alive here! Like I said before, he was one of my best friends back home, and I'm sure we'll be able to slip back in to how things used to be between us. But.... I don't know. [he grumbles quietly as he runs his free hand down his face.]

Is this sort of thing normal here?

I met someone who was dead where we came from. He knew about it, though.

[out of consideration for luke's situation, he won't be very specific. but it probably wouldn't be too hard for someone to guess who the dead guy is. there aren't a ton of demigods here, and they've been largely sticking together so far.]

Even still I bet that's hard to deal with too. Being dead back home, but.... well alive here. I don't have a choice fighting this war for them, but... Wouldn't you think the dead or people close to dying would?

Really? The same thing happened to me with my friend too! [he pauses] But I guess you... knew that from this.... whatever it is. But.... eighty years? Dang I'd be lucky to make it to that doing what I'm doing. I bet that must be confusing in it of itself though. That you look different from what he last saw of you eighty years ago.

[it's sort of almost a-- oh who are we kidding. it's totally a reflex on how jean handles every time eren interrupts him. in fact he might have attempted to snap at other people who wasn't the irritable brunette. boy was that the weirdest wake up call! anyway-]

More importantly way to show up oh so conveniently after we take care of those titan worms. Could have used your help slicing and dicing those things up. As much as it pains me to say it. [eren's overall safety though, is on the back burner of his mind right now.]

[jean frowns a little as he looks at the screen. jesus, are they that desperate for fighters that they'd risk bringing children into their war??? sure jean was still pretty young himself. but, he wasn't as young as the kid on the screen seemed to be.]

[ The question makes her feel a little uncomfortable, the reminder of friends dying (but Harry came back, right? It wasn't the same) and she doesn't really know what a Titan is, but... ]

One of my friends seems to be a few months behind me, I think? I've come from the end of the war and she's from a time where we're all still fighting. I don't know if it's normal but it seems common?

At least he now knows what those creatures are called. They may forever be known as Titan Worms to him, provided no one informs him otherwise later.]

[he nods.] Seems like it. Everyone I've spoken with either knows someone who was dead in their world and was brought back to life here, or has died themselves.

[and yes good. titan worms will be a thing until they're both corrected on this subject]

( have a smiling, though not so much cheerful as it is rueful, young ginger. ) It's completely normal, going by the conversations I've had with my friends. They remember things I don't. Or they seem confused that I don't remember the things they do. They still won't tell me what I'm missing... But they know I'm missing it. It's strange, how time can work that way, and it defies just about every physics law I know... But this place is entirely made out of magic, it seems.

Really? I didn't think people could be taken from a different time. Like I imagined if there were people who were from the same world together that they'd get taken from the same time as well? [he rubs his chin.]

This magic thing is pretty, I don't want to say scary, but I can't think up of a better word for it either. I know it's something I'd rather not mess with though. If it can do this.
