[with many trial and errors, jean finally managed to figure out how people video record on this thing!!! not that he even knows what a video is other than people actually moving on this... this fancy looking locket. but whatever, the point is that he finally managed to get it figured out!

well sort of. okay so he still might need to work out a few kinks when it comes to using this thing. but he got this for the moment! or at least he thinks he does. anyway- the video starts off by being to close to his beautiful face. he looks at it curiously before murmuring quietly to himself. he then adjusts the space between himself and the locket a few moments afterwards and finally comes up with something decent.] This is stupid. [sigh!!]

Alright, I've got a question I want to ask but never really got to ask when I first got here. Thank you Titan Worms. [ssssssuuuuure someone might have mentioned it's actual name to him, but ehhh. this worked out just fine.] But anyway, I was kind of curious to know if anyone knew anybody that was brought here but is dead in your own world? [he pauses.]

Like, I've got this friend who's here, and he died in my world. But.... It's like he doesn't even remember dying in the battle we were fighting in. He remembers fighting in it, but he doesn't remember fighting a Titan by himself. Anyway, I was wondering if something like that happened to anyone else that's here. [he backpedals a little, because oh yeah. marco can probably see this shit.] I mean- it's not that I don't mind that he's alive here! Like I said before, he was one of my best friends back home, and I'm sure we'll be able to slip back in to how things used to be between us. But.... I don't know. [he grumbles quietly as he runs his free hand down his face.]

Is this sort of thing normal here?

Yeah, I sort of had a feeling it was something like that. [he pauses and looks up thoughtfully.] If they can bring us here why not fix it up the person a little. Especially if they're about to die. [he nods.] It'd be kind of stupid on their part anyway? Bringing someone either on the verge of death or already dead to fight in their war.

[It actually surprises Connor how much the news bothers him. He's never considered himself especially superstitious, but this feels like something wrong, maybe even something dangerous.]

It is one thing for them to help heal wounds, but they should not be handling spirits. They should not be bringing people back.

[jean gives a hollow laugh as he shakes his head.] I thought the same at first too. But then I'd sort of be denying my friend getting another chance at life. Even if he isn't dead yet where he's been pulled from, or whatever.

[he pauses.] I still think it's messed up that he gets to live life here, but then he gets to go back and die when we're finished here. It's not really fair.

That is... messed up. [Brand new phrase to use.] But what if he is here when he is meant to die? If we are missing from our homes while we are in this place...

[It's all a bit much to wrap his head around.]

[his eyes widen a little in alarm.] Well if that's the case I'm sure our friends are worried back home by our sudden disappearances. I mean, look at all the people who are here! That's got to be alarming to some degree.

Yes, I imagine it is. [Just a murmur, that.] Who can say what chaos our captors have set into motion with all this.

All the more reason why I should get out of here. [he frowns.] But at the same time I don't think leaving would be easy either. [and as much as he hates saying it, he feels needed here. there was a reason they brought him here, right?]

We will see soon enough how easy it is to leave.

Yeah I just hope they don't rip me a new one for attempting to leave.

Well yeah, they brought us here didn't they? What if they got mad that we suddenly try to leave and try to stop us by... I don't know, mixing our body parts up with something. I don't know how magic works, but I also don't want to figure out how things work the hard way either.

[He just wasn't sure what that expression meant. Rip you a new what? Is this guy really prone to having his clothing torn in fights or something? Seems an odd thing to be worrying about in this situation.

Odder still is the thought of body parts getting mixed up. He sounds somewhat distracted when he speaks again.]

I... have seen nothing here so far that suggests our captors are vengeful. I mean to go before them and speak with them about all of this. Their keeping the unwilling here. It may only be an oversight on their part.

Yeah, but what if they do get vengeful when we wanna leave? I don't want to be that one guy that finds out what happens when you want to leave. Especially when these people deal with magic.

You would prefer to stay here and fight their battles for them rather than risk facing their wrath? You could just as easily be hurt waging war against their enemies.

I would rather risk fighting their battles against monsters or whatever than try risking going home. If something happens and the changes are permanent then not only am I in trouble of leaving the war that's going on in my world, but I could become useless to the cause as well.

And I can't... I can't do that. I don't want to see my friends fighting against the Titans and me sitting on the sidelines unable to do a thing about it.

You truly believe these leaders are so much more capable of bringing you harm than anything they would pit you against? If their enemies are not as powerful as they are, they would likely be dealing with them themselves.

[But he catches himself there and trails off with a huff of a sigh. This isn't the first time he's run into someone unwilling to take a stand for fear of their own well-being, or the well-being of friends and loved ones. The attitude has always frustrated him, but he understands it, too.]

It is fine. As I said, I will confront them on the matter myself.
