[ Some crunching can be heard. It's late, there's not going to be much of an explanation here, other than Alice's hands look very bad, in bruises and cuts. She continues on like it's nothing. She looks up to the imp and frowns. ]

Or a dustpan. I know this is a pain without a lantern, I'm sorry. Use a handkerchief so you don't cut yourself, alright?

[ Sometimes she feels bad for this imp. Alice goes up to cleaning broken shards of glass, ever so carefully, using a basket as means to pick up pieces. With a huff, more to herself- ]

This is the last time I ever-

[ She stops, of course, to notice the locket is open and shoots a look up to the imp. ]

Don't even think about it. I'm not in the mood for this, it was an accident.

[ With a mutter, Alice's hand goes over it and the locket is promptly clamped shut. Should anyone ask, she'll shift it to voice after getting the rest of the mirror cleaned up. ]

[ Alice cringes. She shoots the imp a look, but she has too soft a heart to scold her. ]

Nonsense. I don't believe in superstitions or any of that silliness.

That word may be the incorrect thing to use. By now, Alice, you should know that 'superstition' is simply something you should take with a fair level of seriousness, here.

[ What's left of the red queen and her hallucination comes out through her temper, just as she's holding one shaky finger, forgetting for a minute she turned off the video function. There goes her temper. ]

It broke. I likely took a fist to it. That is all.

[ She backtracks almost immediately. ]

You seem tired, Alice. [As if this was her first outburst with him. If Lancelot flinched at Alice's ire or her concerns, then he felt he would be useless to her.]

[She doesn't wish to push the subject on the locket; she doesn't know how to lock such things, either.]

[ She pauses, glancing over her room and then down to her. She's in a shawl and a nightgown, which has her flustered.

Well. Better another woman than a man. The only that that makes her fret is the state of her room. It's chaotic, there's drawings and sewing supplies all over. ]

Which means that her shawl has been pinned together, so that Alice may walk around in less shame. The same can't be said for her room, it's just as bad as a child's, in a sense. ]

[ She's older than Alice an Alice easily falls back into her formalities. Alice steps aside, lowering her head. ]

I apologize for the disarray, I haven't been present here lately. [ Which is the truth, of course. Even from Alice's bed, the little white rabbit in Alice's company peeks her head up to see the newcomer. If Alice is comfortable, so is she. Alice leads her in without a word. ]

[ She may be an Unseelie, but Alice is exceptionally kind to the imps rather than yell at them for their misgivings. Besides, her little friend here was obviously concerned. ]

I don't yell at them, I treat them like the individuals they deserve to be.

[ Not that he's super fond of the fairies himself, but they're not vermin. He has a feeling both the imps and the fairies get treated like they are a lot. ]
