[ Despite the inherent excitement that is likely what lead to her being actually, properly visible to people outside of the supernatural realm, there are just some things a ghost cannot shake off. Like the fact that while on recording, regardless of how corporeal they are in person, a ghost is still a ghost. She's visible, but only to an extent. Like a hazy, transparent projection, embossed against the image as if poorly photoshopped in. ]

So does this thing record or is it more like a .. live broadcast sort of thing? Kind of hope not, but if it is, hello! I guess.

[ If there was something she wanted to say ... well, she doesn't seem keen on saying it. Or perhaps there'd been nothing of great importance to begin with. She just sits there looking amicably pleased, watching the little transmission locket in pure interest. ]

... I'm Annie by the way. From England- since I've noticed this isn't England anymore. [ Look she'd only paid partial attention to what the fairies had said, to begin with. ] Anyway, bit of a strange question. Thoughts on, er, vampires? Werewolves? ... Ghosts? Just curious. Study purposes, personal interest. That sort of thing. 

[ Another beaming little smile and the transmission ends. She really isn't good at this. ]

[Her expression is flat, in the way of a sarcastic "How quaint". Judging by the way other people are talking over this system, you'd think it wasn't even a possibility but an accepted norm for a majority of other realities.]

[ Well someone sounds like a grumpy-pants, Annie thinks. Although in fairness, she has heard of this whole ... more than one world thing. And from the whole, whopping two that she's heard of, they both seem to have 'ghosts'. Besides; she's only been here for barely a day. ]

Well no, I was- Sure, okay. My world has ghosts. Is that such a bad thing?

[She tilts her head and narrows her eyes a tad at the image. Debates giving her locket a rub with her glove, but no, she doubts that "cleaning the screen" would do anything - it still looks like it could be a technical error...]

It just seems as if I grew up in a strange one.

[One without ghosts, or magic, or supernatural creatures of any sort (unless one counts zombies, but magic didn't make those).]

Strange how? 'Cause I didn't know there were anything like that in my world until- until later in life. Sort of just happened all at once, really.

It's a bit of both. The record can be replied to at someone's leisure, but conversations are more like a live broadcast.

Unfortunately this definitely isn't England, although may I ask what part of there you're from? I grew up in London.

Oh- no I know Skype. I remember it. Sort of; I didn't use it much, but I know it. It was um ... Two thousand nine? Ten? I think ten.

Completely normal, yes. I'm not one of those three, I'm a wizard, but my school had both ghosts and werewolves.

[ There are vampires elsewhere, but they don't usually end up settling and working in Britain. ]

A wizard? [ Whoops, that sounded sceptical. Ahem. ] A school for wizards that has ghosts and werewolves, too. Like... As students?

[ Honestly if she stops and thinks about it, no vampires would be ... understandable. ]

I've never met a vampire or werewolf, but I have met spirits... they can be really similar to ghosts. At least, it seems that way since they can haunt certain things. Does that help at all?

Eh; spirits, ghosts. They're usually the same sort of thing, I've found. Haunting is definitely a ghost-thing.

We've got different kinds of spirits, then. Before coming here, I was in a place where a spirit could be created from other things. They're just as alive as anything else, too.

An angry spirit haunting something still got pretty scary, though.

I've never met any vampires, but I know we have werewolves and ghosts where I come from. The werewolves tried to kill me, so I can't really say I'm a fan. [pity, too, cause he's pretty fond of wolves in general.] We had a kind of ghost called Lares at the camp I grew up at, though, and my friend deals with ghosts in general all the time, so I guess they're alright.

Yeah, his name's Nico. Short kid, dark hair and clothes, always looks exhausted. He'd be hard to miss if he didn't sneak around in the dark all the time.

[ Now, here is something that goes against some of his initial theories as to what in the world he was doing to end up in a place like this. The idea that he died seemed like a real possibility--not many people survive after getting t-boned by a semi, after all.

[ It's really difficult to reconcile her poor attempt at a cover when she's, clearly, much closer to her subject of interest than she wants to imply. He's seen full-bodied apparitions to simple globes of light, but it's not often that he sees something like this. Semi-transparent and responsive? Not a death echo... ]

There is nothing...supernatural in my world.

[There's the slightest pause as he answers. It's not technically a lie. While there may not be vampires or werewolves, he himself qualifies as being something other than human.]
