This is disgusting -

[ a voice that's rich in sarcasm and annoyance is heard and then a loud thud as a book slams against a table. a moment later regina mills comes to view, white silken blouse, black woolen coat, dark pants, impeccable hair given the situation and an expression that reads that she is, without a doubt, 120% done.

She stares at the book as if it had personally offended her and with a flick of her hand it goes flying across the room. ]

To those who call themselves the High King and Queen -

[ there is poison on the very way she pronounces those words. ]

Expecting me to fight for you is about as stupid as you interfering with the very weapon I would need even if I had wanted to. I have little to no idea what you or this misshapen world had done to magic.

[ or why as this makes no sense to her. ]

But I want it fixed.

[ and then she looks around her in distaste and mutters to herself ]

Looks as if this place is managed by farmers if to judge by this inner decor.

[Of course Snow recognizes that voice. Let alone the video confirming it. Regina. So she isn't entirely alone here. There's some relief there. Because surely working together with Regina would help get things sorted faster with her magic. If it still works. To her, it appears to when she is able to send the book flying. Snow not having such abilities has no idea how or if they might be affected here, using magic. She assumes since she hasn't seen her yet that Regina must be in the other Court. Which takes time to travel there. But she can at least talk to her for now.

She fumbles a little as she goes to use the locket and reply, brushing some longer strands of hair back as she peers to it.]

Regina? You're here too then. I thought I might be the only one from home. What do you mean there's something wrong with your magic? Are you okay?

[ grumpy, dry. of course. of all the people, of course it would be her and Snow. regina's dry expression softens for a short moment. ]

Then the other idiot is home.

[ and she only has one half of the charmings. Snow can protect herself, regina doesn't doubt it but still. it's not that she worried only -

well, she worries. Snow knows her way around a bow and arrow, around a sword but magic. magic is what they need here. ]

[ of course they are in opposite courts. but she can bridge over that, of course. she would test her magic until she could move between those in the blink of an eye. but until then. ]

Yes. At least, as far as I can tell. I've not seen anyone else around the Seelie side of things.

[As much as that hurts to admit. Even if she has been trying to keep herself busy with researching and exploring, hunting. There's still an ache. A part of her that will always be keenly aware her husband is absent. She lowers her gaze for a moment at the confirmation. Of course. Maybe here with the specifications for each Court, she's not sure how they choose, but it still hurts when Regina has been trying so hard lately. Trying to change and be good.]

I haven't tried it myself but I could maybe figure it? Unless you know how. I was told we should be cautious with speaking to those from the opposite Court, so if we can filter this somehow that would be best.

[ He sounds as if he almost enjoys them, for all that -- and really, Felix does. The billowing drapes and dark shades have grown him, like mold. Almost comically malignant in their execution, as though some sort of stage set.

Felix can't imagine that the Seelie court's any better for it. ]

There is no use for a throne room here as it is. there aren't any queen or king here who would be worthy of ones. Cowards who would temper with ones magic are not very worthy of their titles.

I feel the same, Lady Magus. As much as I wish it to be different, my information shows there is little choice in being here for the moment. Fighting, fortunately, we do not have to do unless we wish it.

They will grant you 'boons' for your service to them. Largely, if you attack a Seelie force on behalf of your Unseelie contingent. [ perhaps there is sarcasm there and perhaps there isn't. most would consider regina calling anyone else by herself as 'your majesty' to be a jape. there is only one who answers to the title and it is always the evil queen.

but regina, while having obvious issues with control and anger management, is still a politician and she promised henry to try long before she had sealed her fate not to see him again. a promises holds, light over dark. attempted politeness rather than pride and rudeness. ]

I do not attack others on anyone's behalf but my own. Whatever they did to my magic, it can be fixed with more magic. I have patience.
