This is disgusting -

[ a voice that's rich in sarcasm and annoyance is heard and then a loud thud as a book slams against a table. a moment later regina mills comes to view, white silken blouse, black woolen coat, dark pants, impeccable hair given the situation and an expression that reads that she is, without a doubt, 120% done.

She stares at the book as if it had personally offended her and with a flick of her hand it goes flying across the room. ]

To those who call themselves the High King and Queen -

[ there is poison on the very way she pronounces those words. ]

Expecting me to fight for you is about as stupid as you interfering with the very weapon I would need even if I had wanted to. I have little to no idea what you or this misshapen world had done to magic.

[ or why as this makes no sense to her. ]

Looks as if this place is managed by farmers if to judge by this inner decor.

It probably depends on who you ask. Most of those they've taken from other worlds are somewhat biased.

I must wonder if one really dies when it is taken away from them. If we had lived without them before, why are we dependent on them now?

The shards were never present until we came to this world.

I know little about it. Ninja arts, perhaps, but we did not have "magic" at home.

I've no notion what the purpose of the things is, then. I have not even seen my own.

To bind you to a cause that is not yours, that is their purpose. That and some undoubtedly dark magic.

[ Another shrug. For all that she appears to be thirteen at the most, Shijima is well over two hundred. She's patient enough to wait out whatever this is, and wasn't in a hurry to be anywhere back home, anyway... ]

If you figure something out, I would be interested to hear of it. For now, I don't intend to fight for a cause not mine. I might help someone out if I find them interesting, but I don't find these monarchs very interesting at the moment.

[ She kinda likes some of the Unseelie folk as much as she likes anyone, though. So she'd probably back them against Seelie if she felt like it. ]

I assume you aren't participating in this hunt nonsense, or going to that party. Or are you?

[ Shijima is...participating if you count stalking around sort of nebulously hunting things as participating, though she's not really trying to get the hart. She's mostly trying to socialize in her own manner so that people will Tell Her Things if they learn things.

She's not sure if this is how Kouichi handled the information gathering part or not, but since he isn't here she's left allyless and has to sort of build something up from scratch, lest she have to do everything herself. ]
