Video / Unseelie Locked
[Balem stands with his hands clasped together, head lowered. A cluster of bees swarms around him, and their buzzing can be faintly heard.]
Greetings. I am certain that most have you have heard by now that unfortunately Baron Archer is no longer with us.
[He straightens up, head held high.]
He has left the spire at Archer Point in my care, and I will be serving as Baron from now on. My first priority is making sure that all business is in order. If you had any prior agreements with Baron Archer, I will be happy to discuss them. I welcome any visitors, as well.
If we haven't met, I am Balem Abrasax. Oh, and if you do visit, don't mind the bees if you happen to come across them. They aren't aggressive.

[Saber was glad to see that in Archer's randomness, he seemed to pick a man with experience in governing.]
I believe we have a matter concerning that large savage beast Archer left in my care that needs to be dealt with.
[She honestly didn't know what the creature was, just that Archer had wanted it and she, in a moment of harp-induced emotion, helped him capture it for his Spire.]

[But oh he certainly wasn't expecting savage beasts to be part of his new domain.]
I'm afraid that's not my area of expertise, but I will deal with it as best as I can.

[Jack's a little surprised. The last time he visited with news, the man was more concerned with his massage.]
That's something that was neglected in the past. Congratulations, Baron.

[He's not about to start writing a will, although he supposes he should eventually.]
Thank you. I will do as much as I can to make it thrive.

[ it was a while ago, and there was no way to prove it, but Balem said former agreements, so why not? ]
Though I will accept alternate payment in bottles of honey.

[It's not in writing, but it's just one drink.]
Honey may take a while. They need to get settled.

Oh, that's right. I'm Rin Tohsaka, the Minister of Trade for Dorchadas? From what I understand, the spire you inherited has a sea port that could serve well for that. Are you opposed to meeting up later to discuss possible prospects?
video;
[No Seelie allowed!]
No, not at all. I'd love to discuss prospects with you. I am a businessman at heart; trade is my specialty.
video;
I'm...not even gonna ask about the bees. [He probably will later though because what kind of warning is that, Balem, come on.]
So you're his replacement? I'm kinda surprised that he had hindsight to make sure things were taken care of. [There's a pause.] I didn't really have any prior agreements with the Baron that haven't been wrapped up already, but I used to send blueprints to him and some of his associates when they were around to help better the spire and improve his ships. That's kinda what I do around here. [Build things. Improve things. He's not exactly specifying what his real job is but that just comes with being on the network.] If you need anything, I'm open to ideas.
[...Hiro, you're forgetting something really, really important.]
I'm Hiro. I've been here for a while...and I've been doing work with a couple of the other barons, too.
video;
[Can you make a spaceship, Hiro? Okay no probably not.]

What does a baron do, exactly?
[ He needs to learn more about the system here, so he might as well start with this guy. He'll ask about the bees later. ]

[And hopefully get to gloat about his title and make money in the meantime.]
