[Balem stands with his hands clasped together, head lowered. A cluster of bees swarms around him, and their buzzing can be faintly heard.]

Greetings. I am certain that most have you have heard by now that unfortunately Baron Archer is no longer with us.

[He straightens up, head held high.]

He has left the spire at Archer Point in my care, and I will be serving as Baron from now on. My first priority is making sure that all business is in order. If you had any prior agreements with Baron Archer, I will be happy to discuss them. I welcome any visitors, as well.

If we haven't met, I am Balem Abrasax. Oh, and if you do visit, don't mind the bees if you happen to come across them. They aren't aggressive.

Oh, I've had tea with honey plenty of times. It calms the nerves; goodness knows I need that every now and then.

The thought of the impending void is stressful. And back home my entire home planet was a giant bureaucracy - that was certainly a pain.

That it is, but nothing has to last forever, not even an ominous force. [ She's gotten so used to it and so have other people in Aghmor that it hasn't stressed her out as much as it has before. ]

And that sounds far more stressful than what this place has to offer.

You get used to it, after a while. I doubt I'll ever get used to the idea of the Void, even if we get rid of it.

[How can a thing exist that could end his entire universe even though no one in his universe had seen it? He always thought the Entitled were the apex predators, now he's seeing it differently.]

There are no certainties. I will do my best to get rid of the Void as I'm sure we all will, but it is still, unfortunately, an if.

Exactly, an "if". Participation isn't exactly mandatory; if one was to focus their attentions elsewhere, I would not fault them, to an extent.
