Are the women in this world and your own given as much opportunity to defend themselves as the men?
[ she doesn't wait for any answers, giving a humorless snort of laughter at the locket before continuing. it's not a directly related addition to her question, but it's certainly on the same train of thought: ]
Ridiculous that those already holding power are given the privilege of training to the highest levels of their skills, but those most in need of it are left to rely on the protection of others.

I should say he certainly doesn't. I've heard of how bloody births can be, though it's not quite the same as taking up a sword for safety. Only a different thing, and not for all women, whatever anyone else might think.
But it is very different here from any of my seven kingdoms. I've even begun to be glad for it.

[Margaery tilts her head, visibly curious.]

You've spoken to my nephew, how nice to hear.
Video
Nephew? [ ... ] You don't look old enough to be his aunt.

[ trying to work this out. does this make margaery royalty, too? ]

[Which does indeed make her husband the king.
Okay, there's Stannis but not many people really like him.]

Please, call me Margaery.
[As much as she longed for the title of Queen, there's no throne for her here.]

I'm the Lady Katsa. My uncle is King Randa of the Middluns, though I expect he'll have denounced my titles by the time I return to his court; perhaps I'm a little more in line with your nephew on that subject. But all the same, Lady Margaery. Is your husband in this land as well?
[ kings to keep a watchful eye on, while she might as well... ]

There is one who said he remembered his family dying, but here they were alive and well...
[ she thinks about that, the impossibilities, and then thinks about if people she knew to be dead were suddenly seen here...
a chill runs down her spine and she shudders. visibly. ]
Maybe it's lucky for some, but it other cases it might be better if those meant to die were allowed to do so.
Video
Yes, for some I'm sure that is the case. Was he pleased to have his family with him again? Did it influence how he feels about this world?
Video
[ that's still not her most favorite piece of information, and a note of displeasure creeps into her voice. ]
Video
A grim outlook. This land has its share of inconveniences, to be sure, but it hardly seems that bad.
Video
[ she shrugs. she doesn't quite know what to say to that, so she moves on. ]
Are you happy here? Are there things you miss back home? Gendry seems to think it's better here than in your own seven kingdoms, and I begin to see, if he has so much family he doesn't mind seeing. Is it so bad for everyone that even this place would seem better?
