[The brown haired girl who's in view right now can't possibly be more than seventeen or so, with a uniform that definitely looks out of place compared to her surroundings. Before she says anything, she moves a finger to her hair and curls a lock of it thoughtfully.

Eventually, she speaks.]

So uh, Hey.

[Places her hand back down, huffing.]

I gotta be honest, I don't really have anything cool or interesting to say but...I felt like I really ought to introduce myself, especially seeing people I saw at that big feast doing the same.

So...I'm Hikaru. I was in Tokyo before I came here, I'm big into occult stuff and I like talking to people. Yeah, three things sounds good, doesn't it?

If you've got time to kill, you should say hi. I think in a situation like this it's good to know people, and I'm more than willing to talk a few ears off.

[She almost ends it there, before deciding to add on one last thing.]

Oh, uh, one thing now that I think about it...there aren't any Angels here, are there? I know that's really specific, but I've had a few bad experiences with them before I got here, so I'd rather know so I can keep my distance. No offense or anything if you are one; blame the ones launching ICBMs in the name of God or whoever. They're giving you a bad rep.

[She had completely lost him up until the casual mentions ICBMs. So few people knew anything about the most basic of technology in this world it almost caught him off guard when someone did. Armed religious zealots were never a good thing, either.]

I do not know anything about these 'Angels', but if there are any, they will be unable to use such weapons. Technology like that does not function here.

Oh, that doesn’t really matter. Angels are perfectly capable of doing that kind of damage themselves; it’s just easier to cover up if you use technology instead. Blame it on another country or something.

Well, last time I checked, kill all the [She actually does an airquotes gesture with this.] ‘unworthy ones’ and establish some kind of kingdom? Thousand year kingdom or… something. They don’t really have their own motives though, they just do whatever God tells them to.

I mean it’s not like I’m saying there’re any here for sure, I’m just asking around. A girl can’t be too careful, especially in a strange new world.

What do the movies you’ve seen say about it?

That it's really colorful, there's gangs all over the place and lots of weird looking really fast cars that race through the streets at night.

Oh, and there are really bad bands there.

Well, it could get pretty colourful…I don’t know about the rest though. That doesn’t sound like the Tokyo I’m familiar with.

The messians and the gaens counted as gangs I guess, but I couldn’t tell you a whole lot about them.

[There's an undercurrent of tension in his voice to match his face; ordinarily he'd like to be a bit more formal, himself, and isn't sure whether he should be hitting himself over the fact that her self-referenced not-so-formal-ness seems to excuse it a little, but it seems an appropriate question to ask before continuing; are they - thinking of the same angels and/or God, worlds aside?]

An ICBM is a weapon. It’s like a big metal tower that can fly – you launch it at the place you’re targeting, and once it hits it’s destination, it explodes.

They just accumulated a whole lot of them and fired them at places, all because their God told them to.

[Slow, thin exhale through the nose, brow pinches, eyes flick aside and back... What she'd first said was that it pays to know people, and she's setting aside to chat. Even something not much a contribtion besides... formalities... might not be a fumble on principle.

He leans back just a bit - stops halfway for a quick glance over his shoulder.]

Just Hikaru will do, Anthony! You don't have to be so formal.

[She shakes her head at his comment regarding angels though; thing is, as Heaven's Number One Target in disguise, she doesn't want any Angel skulking around her presence. Literally any of them, regardless of where they're from. So it's a hope people will buy her mention of the ICBM thing as justification for that.]

Thing is though...I wouldn't really want to deal with any Angel, no matter where they're from; my home or not. I just can't trust them.

[Tiny awkward wince, and - glance aside, not entirely sure what to make of not trusting angels, if by knee-jerk; the above-humanity's complicated and brutal in more than one reality, that much is clear - shakes his head out a little, clears out focus on the thought.]

Well, there are lots of kinds of monsters. Some are just like animals like wolves or like strange living plants but then I think the scariest are probably demons. There aren't many demons because they were sealed in some place called Niflheim by Ratatosk. But they're very powerful. I don't know what they're like otherwise but people can make pacts with them, too.

[Listening pretty intently as he goes on; these aren't names she's unfamiliar with, it's just things seem a little off. Last she remembers, the Ratatosk she's familiar with was just some messenger between the Nidhogg and the Eagle atop Yggdrasil. The idea of it having enough power to seal anything away...

Well, she's no stranger to transuniversal discrepancies either, fortunately. Power and status all depends on the world and it's beliefs, in her experience.]

Huh...you know, I befriend demons too. I've even lived with them from time to time, but the Ratatosk I've heard of wouldn't be able to do anything like that. He's not really that powerful.

Do you know why they sealed demons away? Fear?

[Emil looks shocked, though now in a bad way.]

Wow, you're amazing! And I guess... it must have been fear? I don't know if demons are as bad as everyone says. I used to think monsters were until I started to befriend them. Some of them are close to demons, too. So it's really hard to say... I know that people fear things they can't fight or understand.

[But she knows Ratatosk. She really is amazing.] Oh but the Ratatosk in my world is known as the lord of monsters. He's really strong, I think.
