[The brown haired girl who's in view right now can't possibly be more than seventeen or so, with a uniform that definitely looks out of place compared to her surroundings. Before she says anything, she moves a finger to her hair and curls a lock of it thoughtfully.
Eventually, she speaks.]
So uh, Hey.
[Places her hand back down, huffing.]
I gotta be honest, I don't really have anything cool or interesting to say but...I felt like I really ought to introduce myself, especially seeing people I saw at that big feast doing the same.
So...I'm Hikaru. I was in Tokyo before I came here, I'm big into occult stuff and I like talking to people. Yeah, three things sounds good, doesn't it?
If you've got time to kill, you should say hi. I think in a situation like this it's good to know people, and I'm more than willing to talk a few ears off.
[She almost ends it there, before deciding to add on one last thing.]
Oh, uh, one thing now that I think about it...there aren't any Angels here, are there? I know that's really specific, but I've had a few bad experiences with them before I got here, so I'd rather know so I can keep my distance. No offense or anything if you are one; blame the ones launching ICBMs in the name of God or whoever. They're giving you a bad rep.
[Sure did say that super casually.]
Guess that's it. So, by-or, uh. Should I be more formal to fit in? "Good evening" I guess.
Eventually, she speaks.]

Well, she's no stranger to transuniversal discrepancies either, fortunately. Power and status all depends on the world and it's beliefs, in her experience.]
Huh...you know, I befriend demons too. I've even lived with them from time to time, but the Ratatosk I've heard of wouldn't be able to do anything like that. He's not really that powerful.
Do you know why they sealed demons away? Fear?
no subject
Wow, you're amazing! And I guess... it must have been fear? I don't know if demons are as bad as everyone says. I used to think monsters were until I started to befriend them. Some of them are close to demons, too. So it's really hard to say... I know that people fear things they can't fight or understand.
[But she knows Ratatosk. She really is amazing.] Oh but the Ratatosk in my world is known as the lord of monsters. He's really strong, I think.
no subject
That’s exactly it! Demons just have a bad reputation because they’re different. I know some can be dangerous or mischievous but…if you really try to understand them, it isn’t impossible to live alongside them peacefully. I wish more people were like you, Emil.
[Lord of monsters…yeah, hell of a title. Looks like someone got a promotion.]
He certainly sounds impressive! Have you met him?
no subject
[Though doing that will seal the demons forever won't it? Maybe this topic requires more thought actually. He needs to know more about demons.]
Uhm, actually... since you know so much, can you tell me more about demons? Ratatosk is against them I guess but you're friends with them, aren't you?
no subject
But Demons aren't just monsters. They're individuals just like you or me, with their own likes and dislikes, hopes, fears, dreams...give them an opportunity, and a human can prove itself to be just as bad as any demon. Sometimes worse.
[Captain Jack sure was worse than most; considering that was her most recent trip to the human world, it's the first example to spring to mind. Guy was stone cold.]
They're usually different from world to world though. Take your lord of the monsters there as an example; where I'm from, he's a squirrel who delivers messages between the Nidhogg and the Eagle who sits atop Yggdrasil. He really isn't that important.
That's why I was a little surprised at his, uh, promotion he's got in yours.
If you wanna know anything specific though, I can try to help you out.
no subject
Kind of?
He won't tell Marta.]
But uhm, I'm not sure where to start. I agree, though. There are people in this world who are more terrible and disgusting than any monster I've met, so I'm sure it's the same for demons. Humans are the ones who invented those words. But let's see... I really do want to know more...
[Emil brightens up.] Oh! I know. Since you know about demons, do you have a favourite?
no subject
Not that Lucifer feels any desire to, but going with the whole fake personality, it's probably what "Hikaru" would do. Even if she doesn't exist, really.]
My favorite, huh? [She pauses, as if too amused to keep talking.] That's a tough one...
But I guess I'd have to say my friend Beelzebub. He's been with me for as long as I can remember, and he'd do anything to help me out too. If he notices I'm gone he'll probably start freaking out...
[None of this is technically untrue either. Higher ranked demons don't really have "friends" like humans, but Beelzebub had been Lucifer's closest and most trusted ally, and the one she'd known the longest.
In a sense, she felt like they didn't need anything else for it to qualify.]
What about you? You have me curious now.
no subject
Let's see... that's really tough. I think it would be Fenrir though. It's like with Beelzebub, too. He's been there with me since I started this journey, though he was much smaller then! But he's really loyal, like a really big dog. He lets me ride on his back too.
[Oh! He can tell her about that--]
Maybe you can ask the rulers to bring Beelzebub here!
no subject
[Because it was bound to come up eventually. The thing about requesting someone be brought here does catch her attention though.]
Do you really think I could? Or that they would?
no subject
Though he backs up to think about Thor and Loki. Oh yeah his cute monsters, sure he knows them.]
Oh but uhm, yes, I know them. They're really strong. I didn't know you knew them too!
[They're such popular birdies wow.]
no subject
Not like she'd care but birds really.]
Well...where I'm from, they're pretty important! Odin's the king of one of Yggdrasil's nine worlds, and Thor and Loki are his sons. Although I guess Loki hasn't been on good terms with them for a while, he's kind of a troublemaker.
Does any of that sound right to you?
no subject
So they're gods of the world tree? Then I haven't met them. But those names are popular among monsters. Maybe they know something that I don't about the world. I'm sure they would be closer to the tree than I am.
[A beat.] Especially if Ratatosk is just a powerful squirrel.
no subject
[isn't all that powerful. Unless he means his version of him. Man whatever.]
Never mind, uh. Anyway, I figured the world tree probably existed there too, taking all that into account. Is it important on your world?
