Is everyone alright?

[ This voice message comes little after all the teams got teleported to their designated location. Needless to say, Hilda sounds less than pleased with this, though her tone is serious. ]

How many of you have been taken by our hosts to be in one of the team? Do any of you actually intend to go along with what they ordered us to do?

For my part, I will not fight, but I shall not abandon those who chose to follow these orders either. I can sympathize with High-Queen Solais' need for Champions to defend her castle. It is even a necessity, should the Unseelie actually obey their Lords and lead an attack against us. However, to have us retaliate and going in Unseelie territory is nonsensical. Her words-- I do not trust her being sincere.

If you do chose to follow these orders, I urge you to be careful and organized so as to not waste your lives pointlessly.

So say I, Hilda of Lorule.

[Admittedly, it's been a very interesting few weeks ever since Carol arrived. She hasn't really settled in yet, still feeling very lost in this very surreal world. And she hasn't even really figured out what she should be doing, so instead she's practically been living in the library. Reading with the intention of learning about the different locations, the wars, the types of creatures that live in this world.

There's a lot to take in, so when Carol uses her locket for the first time, she doesn't jump in with the serious questions right away. Not until she knows more.

As of right now, she's more interested in the world itself, and the people that were brought here like she was.]

Has anyone traveled outside of the courts yet? Or plan to soon? I've done a little bit of reading about some of the places here, and it's nothing at all like back home!

...Although, I'm sure it's not easy to travel around here, since we were just attacked by those creatures. But if anyone has, I'd really like to hear about it.

[She pauses, before moving on.]

Um, other than that, has anyone settled in yet? I don't think I have yet. I don't know - it just all feels a little overwhelming, doesn't it? This whole situation we're in, I mean. I still feel like I'm in a dream.

[Nico doesn't trust the Unseelie side. In fairness, he doesn't exactly trust the Seelie side, either. Of the two, he can at least trust that the Seelie side won't stab him in the back while he's asleep. He expects them to do it during the daytime.

At any rate, he decides to let his...allies (?) know at least one of his abilities. Two at most. The rest are best used as aces in his sleeves or whenever it actually comes up.

So, when the video feed comes on, Nico looks like he's up in a tree. He is because, man, he doesn't want his conversation jacked by Luke like in Jason's.]

My name is Nico di Angelo. The topic of transportation has come up a few times, and if the worms are any indication, then I expect that they're just the start of whatever we're going to be facing in this world. That's not even including the fact that we're most likely going to do battle with other people.

[A flicker of distaste crosses his face. Being a civilian in one war between mortals and a soldier in a war between demigods is just...not his idea of a fun time. Still, it needs to be said.]

I have abilities that don't include being good with a sword. I'm only comfortable with talking about two of them at this time. One is called shadow travel. It's best used at night, but the basics of this power is that I can go from one shadow to another no matter where it is. Distance and the amount of people I take with me have a very important factor in how much of an energy toll I get. Over seven thousand miles on my own will probably knock me out for a straight week, just to give an example. Even short jumps could leave me exhausted. I'm best used for emergency back up or just for emergency transportation if someone gets badly injured.

[Nico pauses, thinking about how to phrase the other one.]

The second ability...I'm able to affect the dead. I don't need anything special, it's just something that's natural for me. From spirits to the walking dead, I can either kill or banish them. Talk to them, too, in the case of ghosts.

[Okay, yeah, that's a lot of information, and hopefully it's useful.]

That's about it.

[Stiles hasn't used the lockets until today, a day spent flicking mostly through the posts and seeing how to actually work this thing and, oh, okay. Like that. It was like a weird magical phone set to Skype. Okay. He could do that.

Smile into the camera, Stiles.]

Hey there, uh, fairy people. And non-fairy people. And, uh, the draconically inclined. Or furry. I don't... just... hi. So, in light of the whole worm thing, which by the way, eww, I have a question. Since there seem to be a lot of, um, not exactly human people around and ones who have skills with like, swords and magic and stuff, ah, what... hypothetically speaking, would someone who was just a regular, normal, average human be able to do here? You know, besides hiding under tables and throwing rocks ineffectively?

[This was a very important question, Drabwurld. He wasn't a werewolf or a wizard or witch or... any of the multitude of people here that he'd run into. His coordination was subpar and, well, he didn't really have any skills that included cutting the heads off of giant worms or not getting eaten by dragons if they felt the need.]

Just, ah, I guess just reply here, if you want. Or leave a message if you're looking at it later. 'Kay. Uh, thanks.

[ For days, Hilda had listened on the conversations of various guests through this locket. Finally, she took her own communication locket and requested the audio mode to be turned on, before speaking. Her voice was gentle and serene, although she was speaking with an air of authority and confidence, one that may give away her royal origins to those accustomed to the way kings and queens speak. ]

Greetings. First of all, please allow me to introduce myself. I am Hilda, Princess and Sovereign of Lorule Kingdom.

I see many have already taken measures to explore this new world and defend our new homes. And on behalf of all those who cannot fight, I would like to address my thanks to the valiant heroes combating the creatures that threaten us. However, I believe a topic of importance has been eluded: our homeworlds.

Not a day goes by without my thought travelling to my Kingdom, and I believe we are numerous longing to see our worlds again. Our hosts call us honored guests and treat us with great respect. They would have us think our predicament is an enviable one. And indeed, few are those who would complain at the comforts we enjoy in this world. Yet it appears to me the reality of the situation is very different. As beautiful and pleasant as a cage may be, it is still naught but a cage.

[ She paused. ]

Furthermore, while today we are to fight mere monsters, tomorrow it is against each others we will have to fight. For it is our only hope to go back where we belong, or so we are led to believe. I know not where the truth lies. But I do know blindly believing what we are told would be a most grievous mistake.

I believe our duty lies first and foremost in protecting our worlds and going back to those who need us, independently from the duties we have been told are ours. Prioritizing anything above this task – including this war – would be the same as betraying our worlds and our dearest ones.

Hence, I would very much like to speak to all those who share in the desire to go back to their world, to all those who have no desire to partake in a war that is not theirs. It is my belief we should start taking action now to ensure we will find our way home, regardless of the outcome of the war. By working together, surely we shall find a way that doesn't involve bending to our hosts' will.
