[Admittedly, it's been a very interesting few weeks ever since Carol arrived. She hasn't really settled in yet, still feeling very lost in this very surreal world. And she hasn't even really figured out what she should be doing, so instead she's practically been living in the library. Reading with the intention of learning about the different locations, the wars, the types of creatures that live in this world.

There's a lot to take in, so when Carol uses her locket for the first time, she doesn't jump in with the serious questions right away. Not until she knows more.

As of right now, she's more interested in the world itself, and the people that were brought here like she was.]

Has anyone traveled outside of the courts yet? Or plan to soon? I've done a little bit of reading about some of the places here, and it's nothing at all like back home!

...Although, I'm sure it's not easy to travel around here, since we were just attacked by those creatures. But if anyone has, I'd really like to hear about it.

[She pauses, before moving on.]

Um, other than that, has anyone settled in yet? I don't think I have yet. I don't know - it just all feels a little overwhelming, doesn't it? This whole situation we're in, I mean. I still feel like I'm in a dream.

I want to travel but it seems like it'll be a long trip anywhere. You'd have to probably be prepared to do some camping out and have supplies. And probably better to do it on horseback too. I think getting around is going to be tough. No cars or trains or anything like that.

Mhm, it really does seem like traveling is difficult here. I've never ridden a horse either, but I wouldn't mind learning if that's how you're supposed to travel.

[She smiles a little at the idea of camping. Mostly because she's got a different idea of what camping would be like here.]

It would be kind of fun to camp though! Well, as long as those worms don't show up again...

There are other animals around though so you shouldn't travel alone. [She can't help frowning. Why is a kid here?] But I guess camping wouldn't be so bad if you had everything you needed... It'd be like a little adventure from a video game.

I wouldn't travel alone! I'd make sure to take someone with me, or at least follow someone else if they're heading out there.

...What's a video game, though?

Eh? You don't know what a video game is? They're great. They're... games that you play on your TV and there's a lot of different kinds. Well, you can play them on a computer, too. I guess you might not have computers then but you have TVs right?

[TVs are barely a thing yet in her world. She tries picturing this, but the idea is just too strange to her.]

Well yes, but...I can't imagine playing a game on one. That sounds like it'd be really difficult to do. I don't think I can even picture what that would look like.

I've been thinking about heading out myself, but it sounds like it's not the best idea without a group if you're not used to fighting monsters. Can't say we ever have to deal with anything like that where I'm from.

Mm, it was scary enough just seeing those monsters show up here. I think traveling with a group would be for the best. There might be more of them out there, right?

I wish there was an easier way to travel though.

That's the impression I'm getting. Sounded like the people who live here don't think much of the worms, either, so whatever's out there is probably pretty strong. [ though hopefully more straightforward to keep away. ]

I wonder if there's any supply wagons or something like that we could hitch a ride on?

D-do you think there's things out there far more dangerous then those worms? I'd definitely not want to meet something like that...

As for supply wagons, I'm sure there has to be some around. Maybe they'll be nice enough to let us travel with them?

It's possible. I'm hoping there's ways you can scare them off instead of fighting, or avoid crossing their paths, but that's probably just wishful thinking. [ He felt a little bad beating up the worms, too, even though he didn't actually kill any of them himself. ]

I'd much rather just avoid them altogether, if that's possible. You're right though, we should definitely look into it and see if there's any wagons that are willing to let us tag along!

I do intend on going to see the various locations of this world myself soon. I will use instant teleportation as means of travel, however. Without knowing more about the dangers of this land, I believe it would be unwise and unsafe for anyone to travel through traditional means.

I'd like to go too, but I don't want t go by myself. Especially if there's going to be more of those worms out there.

Teleportation? It is an ability that allows me to disappear from one place and instantly appear at another. Should you be in need to go somewhere far, I would be happy to offer you safe travel through this method.

[ Better than let a child venture off alone in such a dangerous place. ]
