[Video: Seelie] 01 Shadow
[Nico doesn't trust the Unseelie side. In fairness, he doesn't exactly trust the Seelie side, either. Of the two, he can at least trust that the Seelie side won't stab him in the back while he's asleep. He expects them to do it during the daytime.
At any rate, he decides to let his...allies (?) know at least one of his abilities. Two at most. The rest are best used as aces in his sleeves or whenever it actually comes up.
So, when the video feed comes on, Nico looks like he's up in a tree. He is because, man, he doesn't want his conversation jacked by Luke like in Jason's.]
My name is Nico di Angelo. The topic of transportation has come up a few times, and if the worms are any indication, then I expect that they're just the start of whatever we're going to be facing in this world. That's not even including the fact that we're most likely going to do battle with other people.
[A flicker of distaste crosses his face. Being a civilian in one war between mortals and a soldier in a war between demigods is just...not his idea of a fun time. Still, it needs to be said.]
I have abilities that don't include being good with a sword. I'm only comfortable with talking about two of them at this time. One is called shadow travel. It's best used at night, but the basics of this power is that I can go from one shadow to another no matter where it is. Distance and the amount of people I take with me have a very important factor in how much of an energy toll I get. Over seven thousand miles on my own will probably knock me out for a straight week, just to give an example. Even short jumps could leave me exhausted. I'm best used for emergency back up or just for emergency transportation if someone gets badly injured.
[Nico pauses, thinking about how to phrase the other one.]
The second ability...I'm able to affect the dead. I don't need anything special, it's just something that's natural for me. From spirits to the walking dead, I can either kill or banish them. Talk to them, too, in the case of ghosts.
[Okay, yeah, that's a lot of information, and hopefully it's useful.]
That's about it.

Trying to make friends?
action;
Absolutely. [Oh the sarcasm.] I thought it would be better if our side got to know what they have in their arsenal. With exception to the other side. They definitely don't need to know what I can do, or what any of the other demigods can do.
action;
Do you plan on actually fighting the Unseelie?

How d'ya kill someone that's already dead?
[ because out of all of that, that's clearly the most important. ]
video。
Most people can't do much more than inflict physical 'wounds' on them, but they'd either shrug it off, heal it, or reattach whatever limb you severed off. I can destroy both the body and whatever connection made them animate in the first place. At least, that's what I think happens. I'm mostly self-taught, and I only know what I've seen and experienced.
video。
This a big problem where you're from? People comin' back from the dead or ghosts and things?

[ Clearly to her this was the most interesting bit. She didn't have any problem for transportation-- But if they could get some information from those who were there before, this could be interesting. ]
Voice
Yeah. I don't know if the rituals I learned to summon them would work, but if a wandering spirit is around, I can certainly talk to them. Their origins don't matter.

Ah, so the dead can speak. [ and she's not talking about the ghosts, even though she knows he's not dead... but whatever. ] You know, for a while I thought you were just some kind of zombie. It's good to know your vocabulary is more than just "brains."
video » permanent
If I was a zombie, I'd be forced to terrorize a village right about now. Grace and Castellan don't have enough brains between the two of them to sustain even one.

Well, at least we agree on one thing. Though I'm still not sure how much brains you're adding to this operation.

Good to know the one cell in yours isn't functioning.
[ he hit his head, this is why he's coming to nico's defense rather than just laughing and popcorning this entire conversation. ]

You really think it's a good idea to advertise yourself to all of the Seelie? [ and is that care in his tone? no. he just has something caught in his throat to make him sound like he cares. ]
action »
I trust the Unseelie even less than I do these people. Plus...dying here and having your soul trapped in unfamiliar territory sounds altogether too cruel. My shadow travel might be able to prevent at least some of that from happening.

How do dark corridors work? I know I have limitations on where I can go with shadow travel.

video;
What- exactly do you mean by "undead"? I mean, you're not saying you can control zombies or something, are you? Because that would mean there even is such a thing as zombies.
[ so she'll play the part of someone way more skeptic than her ]
video;
Yes, I can summon the dead, whether it's a ghost, reanimated skeleton, or just a zombie. It's...something I inherited.

Your shadow travel ability sounds a little like the warp staffs these senators used back home. Would buildings interfere with your travel?
[Elincia can't view the Unseelie as her enemies at all but she understands the value of communicating with your allies over what you can or can't do. That way, they all knew how to help each other.]
video;
No, they don't interfere at all. I can go from the courtyard to my room, for example. Shadows are essentially just paths for me to follow and navigate. The only thing that can interfere is if the place is warded against that kind of travel, or if the place is in a different...I guess dimension altogether. For example, I can't cross from here to another world.
