[ The video shows a young woman, her face framed by slightly wavy hair the color of rich soil. Unseen is the weight of many centuries that lie upon her strong shoulders, and would make her ancient rather than young in the eyes of some.

Her large, hazel eyes are sharp as those of a bird of prey as she fixes them upon her locket. ]

I am Lady Sif of Asgard, my allegiance is to my king and my home, and much as the rulers of this court seem to wish it, that will not change simply because they imagine themselves to have some manner of claim on me.

Do not think me craven, I have no fear of battle, but I will not seek it out merely because a stranger tells me that it is my duty.

So I put the question to you now, my fellow recruits: Why do you fight?

[ Sif's voice carries a similar warmth to it, that hint of a smile. She rather likes the attitude of this stranger. ]

I did not mean to assume, merely inquire.

What sort of debt?

What's the most a warrior can give for a cause?

[Clearly someone was never taught not to answer a question with another question.]

[ It is perhaps fortunate then that Sif tends to be rather straightforward. ]

[A grunt of ascension.] An' that's already owed to someone. [A huff of breath, a creak as he leans back, the he speaks again.]

So I bide my time.

Waiting for what?

[ There is no judgment in her tone, biding one's time is certainly an acceptable strategy. Especialy when surrounded by so much uncertainty as in this place. ]

[When he speaks, it's with vague amusement.]

[ Because she is fairly certain that she will go a little stir-crazy in time if she cannot find a way to make herself useful. ]

There's only so open and frank he can be. How to say it, though? "Recovery?" Eh, nah.]

[ She could offer some alternative expressions, but sees little need for it. ]

i have no idea how that would happen, but i am so down.

I've found nothin' to help me decide either way, just a lot of confusion.

[Mostly in the form of confused people on the lockets. And a few interesting conversations. On of which involved pants alternatives, but that's neither here nor there.

It may have something to do with the fact that they brought us here with no intention or ability to send us back again.
