[ when Elsa clicks the feed on, the camera isn't focused on her, but on a little itty baby fox kit that looks very much like this, but with pure ( snow ) white fur, much like this. she's just a wee little thing, standing at Elsa's feet, and just- waiting. tail wagging, ears perked. and when she yips it's just this little tiny sound, excited and pleased and-

oh god, Elsa has no idea how to take care of her, she just loves her so much already, and that's clear by her tone when she finally speaks up. ]

Hello, everyone. As you can see, I have a new friend! Which, I know, it's probably silly to address you all about this, but I've never had a pet before and I am rather happy to have her around. The only problem is that I've had her for over a day and I'm still not sure what to call her. [ she turns her locket to face her now, expression hopeful ] I was hoping I could get suggestions from all of you, if you wouldn't mind.

[His brow is lifted some; he's just gotten done eyeing up the screen - its shape doesn't quite look like a puppy's, it's face isn't a wolf's...]

Er -- is she a fox... my lady?

[Very restrained. He suppresses a bit of a throat clear into a laugh. His voice dries up a bit.]

I... didn't know they - could be suitable pets.

She is! And I didn't either, not until the fairies told me she would be. I think she's... different, you know? She needs someone to take care of her, and I'm flattered they thought of me.

She is quite beautiful. [First two words not quite contracted, all around muffled and sheepishly polite - complimenting a pet is a polite thing to do, but it's still certainly honest; most striking!]

She is very flattered by your kind words, I assure you.

[ grin! but then she's looking a little curious ]

Is everything alright? She doesn't make you nervous or anything, does she? I didn't mean to alarm anyone.

[ Wow, okay. She'll be little to no help at all with the important question at hand: a name!, but baby. So, here's a video of not a snow-white fox, but a snow-white wolf, and her own tail is wagging wildly behind her, both of her ears pricked toward the screen.

For a few seconds, she prances with only front paws, and keens almost excitedly, as if she's fussing over it, and then after the kit's yip, she vocalizes back with a reassuring chuff. They aren't the same breed of canine (and even if the fox was something else, it'd be all the same to her), but she still communicates at it like a mother, whether it or Elsa can understand her. ]

Oh! Hello.

[ Elsa's quick to turn her locket back towards the fox again, taking a knee so the kit can step closer, get a better look at what's on the screen. her little paws moving up to rest on Elsa's knee once she sees oh, friend! she doesn't quite howl, but she's sort of trying, her snout lifting up towards the ceiling and making little "oo oo oo" sounds before she's back to sniffing the locket again, complete with an "oh, careful!" when she starts to maybe try and mouth at the locket, too. what? maybe it's meant for eating, even if there's a new friend inside of it ]

[ The lockets do make for something nice to chew on! Even she's had to hold her jaws back from settling teeth too hard against her own, but if it were examined, the trenches of teeth marks would be found against it. Though it can't be seen, a fairy is doing her the kind favor of holding her locket for her, and when she drops to put her head between her paws and wriggle her rear playful, the camera follows her.

Most of her 'talking' is a serious of rring, grumbles, groans. This is the easiest way for her. What comes without second-thought. In short order, she recalls it may be easier to write for Elsa to understand, even though a sensation of guilt comes over her to do it. But, she really, really wants to offer herself up to help, if not now than in the future!

So, wolf is running off screen, but returning in a moment with a piece of paper hanging from her mouth, and as she trots closer to the camera for it to be viewed, calligraphy swirls over it. ]

she is just as lovely as can be would you mind if i came to play with her from time to time?

[ she doesn't mind letting the two get to know each other over the lockets, if anything it's kind of really sweet to watch. it makes her feel a little more at ease about all of this as well, because maybe the fairies had promised her the fox would grow to love and trust her, but the idea of not being able to give her the kind of companionship she would have had with her family was a little worrisome. but the wolf on the other end of the feed seems to be warming up to her, so.

yeah, she would be just fine.

Elsa tilts her head at the screen when she notices the wolf carrying a note, and she just blinks at first, a little shocked, but- ]

I wouldn't mind at all, actually. She does love to play.

Have you come up with a name yet?

I haven't. None that are particularly original, at least.

I can't. And I won't! She was given to me by the fairies of my court, and for very good reason.

Listen - no, truly, listen. No good can come of foxes. They eat what they catch: dogs, cats, children. And they don't take to the taming.

With dogs, you become, as they say, the bigger creature. Not the master, the leader. With wolves, the same. They stay in your pack while you show strength and wait obediently for your death to assume status. They've the mind and the patience. Foxes don't follow. They overcome you, and if they well and can't, they leave to their own devices. Did you not think of why they are never in a pack?

Trust me: there's merit in the creatures. And back home, we've tried to keep them. But they don't lend themselves to the life, and only harm comes of it. We saw one tear apart a toddler, thinking it prey.

She is not going to eat anyone. The fairies assured me she was safe to be around, and that she would grow to be like a companion to me. Why would they lie about something like that, if she was truly a danger to any of us?

Something more original than Marshmallow, at least.

[ since that was the name of her scary snow-bouncer HEHHH ]

Hmmm, well, I can give you some names from the South Pole? I don't know if they'll be what you want, but it couldn't hurt, right?

Ohhhh! Isn't she just the most darling! Her little face is so sweet! You know, I - I think I'd call her something really refined, she'll grow up to be very elegant, I think. Like... Like Marguerite Lula!

[Forgive the squealing— cute things are her lifeblood.]

[ Elsa's all smiles once the girl starts talking, feeding off of her positive energy ]

Marguerite Lula is a very pretty name. [ the kit tilts her head left, than right, as if considering the name as well ] I'll add it to the list, shall I? Miss Lula.

Miss Lula! [she cries, overwhelmed and close to tears. Well, she's an emotional girl.] Oh, you'll find a beautiful name no matter what you choose, I'm sure of it. That's so lucky, such a sweet little companion. I hope she's very dear to you.

... hahaha, it's pretty cute. Why not call it Kitsu or something?

[ Souda's essentially telling her to call it 'fox'. He's not creative with pets. ]

[ hmmm it's very possible that's a reference she just.. doesn't know, she's getting used to that here, so she's not afraid to ask ]

Is that a popular name where you're from?

I dunno, it was just the first thing that came to mind. Pretty popular, I guess?
