Hello.
[ Elsa's eyes are bright as she sits on camera, posture perfect, expression even. she's not sure if this is The Thing To Do Here, but it feels right to introduce herself, as others have been doing before her. if she's going to be working together with these people to fight for a common cause, she would like to get to know them. so there's no Queenly Air going on, just- a friendly face! well. she hopes she looks friendly. she's trying. she's still really new at this! ]
I am Queen Elsa, of Arendelle, and I've been chosen by the Seelie kingdom to help in their efforts to protect -my Shard. Well, all of our Shards, correct? And this kingdom. I'm honored to be here, truly. [ even though an inVITATION IN ADVANCE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE ahem ahem anyway. it's clear Elsa doesn't have all the facts on this fight, but she's working with what she knows, yeah.] War isn't entirely foreign to me, in concept, although I admit there hasn't been a time of war in my kingdom since I was born, so. I'll try my best to help, in whatever way I can, although I'll need to look to those with experience for guidance. [ but I won't slay anybody, that's insane. wait, shh, don't say that. that's a very undiplomatic thing to say. ]
Which is why I'm reaching out now, in hopes of finding someone that might be able to teach me how to use my given talents to help. Especially now, with the notice of the monsters [ worms, ew. ] that are attacking the land. In the interest of full disclosure- I have ice magic. And as uncommon as it is back in Arendelle, I know that isn't the case here, so I'm hoping that being honest about that isn't as unheard of as it was back home. I'm hoping to find someone willing to teach me how to use my magic both effectively, and safely, in this ..situation. [ she can't just go around making with the icicle stabby on everything they're told to fight. ..can she? ]
Also, I have been looking for one young woman in particular, her name is Anna. Princess Anna. [ this is so the important part here, finding her sister. even if she was trying hard to make it sound casual and NOT AT ALL WORRIED. and hey, yeah, she's going to use their titles. she's proud of their titles, because she's proud of her kingdom. rep-re-sent! ] Anna, if you're here? Let me know, please. I'd like to meet with you as soon as possible.

Neither do I.
[ elsa why are you smiling that's not a happy matter like at all ]
What I mean to say is, maybe we don't have to.
video »
You want to work together on this?
video »
[ and now she'll ramble ]
I already know you would be able to help me keep control, and even if somehow things get a little too frosty, you could stop it. And we've already practiced together before, sort of - [ by turning that corridor into a speedskating track woops ] - so we also know that our powers... You know, work well together.
[ she's on the brink of adding and we know we can't hurt each other, but that's. yeah. she'll keep that to herself. it's probably written all over her face though, that she's hoping he'll say yes because maybe she's not ready to use her powers with too many people around that could get caught in the crossfire ]
Only one way to find out, right?

I spent at least fifty years figuring out how to stop causing snowstorms whenever I got scared or angry. I used to ice up towns so badly that roofs would crack and collapse, all because I got too excited. It felt like I couldn't win whatever I did. My point is that you're the only one who can stop your magic going crazy once we're out there, I can't turn the tap off in your head. That's where it really is.
[ This turned into Real Talk somehow, wow. ]
I can't stop your frost, Elsa. All I can do is keep everything cold, once it's out.

You're saying I have to be my own anchor. And that's fine, I can do that. I want to do that. And maybe you could teach me?
I would offer to teach you how to reverse it, how to unfreeze things using the same magic, but I'm sure you would already know by now how to- h-

Was that-? Did you say fifty years?

I could shatter your ice but that won't do much. I'll help! You might be better off using a buffer who can toss out flames, though ...

You know what they say, "you're as old as you feel". Right?
video »
[ horrifying, right? but helpful. she looks optimistic, at least. ]
You certainly don't act like someone that feels old.
video »
[ Jack grins, huffing out a chuckle. ]
Just what are you trying to say, Your Majesty?
video »
[ but anyway!! she grins, shrugging her shoulders ]
I'm not trying to say anything. You just- don't act older than fifty, that's all. I meant no offense, of course.
[ she's just being a smartass yes ]
video »
Uh huh. None taken, since I'm actually a lot older than I look. [ Up waves a hand. ] Go ahead, take a guess.

Sixteen?
No.
Fifteen.
[ but yeah, Elsa's bad at the whole JOKE thing, because then she laughs ]
Twenty, at least.

Go higher.

Eighty-six.
