If anyone would like to go ice skating, please do feel free to join me in the unused gathering hall on the fifth floor of Caer Glaem. Skates can be provided for those who need them, as well as a quick skating lesson, if you've never had the chance to try before. I'll be here all day. I hope to see you soon! Oh, and don't forget to bundle up!

[ ooc: basically Elsa's taken one of the bigger rooms and froze it all over, so it'll probably look a little like this, only wider right yeah. big room. instead of putting up a log I'm just going to say go ahead and use this as an actionspam party post kinda deal, if you want! closed threads are cool ( even if they're not open to Elsa, though you can handwave that she gave them literal ice skates ), open to all that would have access to the Seelie castle. i just thought an ice skating party would be cute, haha. just label if it's a text reply or an action thread in the subject or whatever, yus ]

Beg Pardon. But...what is ice skating?

Oh, ice skating is very fun! Usually you would have to wait until the lake freezes over to skate, but I froze the floor of this room instead. And... Hm. To ice skate, you wear thin blades on the bottom of your shoes so you can glide along the ice. It might be easier to just show you, actually. It's a little odd to explain.

Is it difficult?

I believe that really just depends on how well you can balance, and how comfortable you are on the ice.

I walk well enough. But it doesn't sound the same as walking on ice.

That's true, it is a little different, it's more of a glide than just walking. Have you ever found a patch of ice and just planted your feet and slid across instead of taking steps? Even if only for a brief moment.

I have. I've done it.

It's like that! That same type of balance, at least. If you like that kind of challenge, ice skating can be really fun.

But -- isn't it summer?

Outside it might be, but inside I can use my magic to change that.

Jack and I are not related, no. But my power does work much like his.

I saw his. Just the once. It was...impressive.

I hope you didn't tell him that! I'm certain it would go straight to his head. As if that boy needs anymore encouragement...

But it's something for which he should feel pride.

I was only joking - taking a jab at his ego, that's all. His pride is well deserved, absolutely.
