Commander Saber has left us. Her absence will be marked and mourned.

Mere words fall short to give her the credit she deserves, both as one who held the heart of a true Unseelie and as one who led us onwards to see another day. She was a true knight, and, I found, a truer friend.

To those of you that also knew her, I share in your grief.

[ Eren's never done text before, and today doesn't change that. He is, however, willing to grow angry over a bunch of words that make their way over his own locket—but first, the utter shock and disbelief. ]

Left us? You... [ Don't mean that, do you? He falters. ] What happened? She can't really be...

Gone? She can be.

[ Friend or not, the indirect response grinds at his nerves a little. Volumes harsher, he snaps out— ]

This isn't the time. [ He'll assume she understands he means for that kind of fucking around; it isn't, but he's terribly kneejerk even on a good day, and no face nor voice make it real easy to start getting mad. Eren's expression draws down into a deep scowl, teeth grit.

It's unbelievable. Of all people, how could Saber get killed?! ] Who did it?

[erythristic]

We don't know yet. That's being looked into. There's not much known about the situation as a whole.

[andallbite]

That's it?

[ It's a miracle he doesn't snap a single bone in half with the way Eren grinds his jaw. ]

You've gotta be kidding me. Who the hell could go after her without a single fucking person noticing?!

All we can do is guess. I've got nothing more than wild speculation, but enough of us want to know who that they're not going to get away with it.

No. They're not.

[ That much can be agreed upon. He narrows his eyes, fingers wrapped around the locket with a vice-like grip on his end. Then, after a short pause: ]

Shit. [ Eren hisses out, tone razor edged, but just barely, it wavers. ] Just a couple days ago, all those people were... [ The fiften Unseelie, murdered, all pierced with and left through pikes. ] And now this? I'm going to fucking kill whoever's been doing this.

[erythristic]

You're not the only one, Eren. Justice will be done.

Contact Jason Todd about this and see if you can help him in any way. I know he wants to investigate.

[ For Eren, this isn't about justice anymore. It's payback. It's putting them in their goddamn place, because she didn't deserve this. No one whose lives that have been claimed by them did.

The world doesn't need murderers.

Eren exhales slowly, but it does nothing for his flaring temper. Nonetheless, he manages to catch the words that appear on his locket next. ]

Jason? [ There's a biting familiarity to the way he says his name. Eren hadn't been in any mood to grow annoyed over him earlier today, however, and he certainly isn't in any now. ] ... Yeah. Fine. That's what I'll do.

[erythristic]

I know it's a lot to ask you to be patient with him. But he's a person with a good head on his shoulders. And between the two of you, we lack not for determination.

I know. [ Voice going rough, it's more an automatic response than anything. But, after a few beats, he repeats more earnestly: ] ... I know. I'll talk to him.
