[It's been a few days now, but when Merida flicks the locket on, she looks like an absolute mess. Her hair is disheveled, it looks like she hasn't slept in days, and in spite of how she's feeling, she's only contacted a couple of people. Who knows how many others he knew? There's a couple of wolfhounds on either side of her, and she rubs at her eyes, wiping a the corner.]

Lancer - that is, Cu Chulainn - he left th' Drabwurld this last week.

[Her throat clogs up and she has to clear it before she continues, one of the hounds nuzzling her and licking her cheek before she gently places a hand on his collar.]

I'm goin' to be livin' in Leathann from now on, since th' fortress is gone, but I'll still be comin' an' goin' between there an' th' trainin' grounds. Anybody that had any unresolved business with him, I'll try an' follow through with it.

[There's a pause before she lets her lips quirk into a tired, wry smile.]

I don't suppose anyone knows a cure for heartbreak, huh?

[And the feed ends.]

No. You shouldn't. Nobody should. I'm sure if your friends see this, they'll be there for you. When you're ready for them. And others like me, even if it's just to talk. To listen. Whatever you might need.

[If there is one thing she knows, it's how groups can gather around someone to rally them, to cheer their spirits the way the dwarves had for her back home after her hearing Charming was to marry Abigail. How heartbroken she had been at the time and how they had been there for her as a support to try help her through it.]

There's no rush. Whenever you are, whoever you talk to, I'm sure they will listen and support you when you need it.

[She knows all too well the pain of heartache. Thinking or knowing you're separated from your loved ones presumably forever. If she can distract and assist Merida even for a moment, it would be worth it.]

I am, yes. Thinking of some target practice?

Well, if you need to company just point me in the direction or where to meet you and I'll join in. I wouldn't want to get too rusty, even if I previously managed okay for not having touched a bow for 28 years.

[And while she is still trying to train, to teach Emma, more practice could never hurt. She's not about to leave Merida to this alone, however she wants to distract herself from this.]
