video ( open to seelie + unseelie )
[ The feed opens with Hermione in the library - where else would she be? - in the Seelie court, a pile of books and papers around her. It's obvious she's been reading and taking notes, going deeper and deeper into as many of the shelves as she can (and the only place she hasn't been allowed access is the Restricted Area, which she is going to get permission for soon). After a moment of brushing her hair out of her face and forcing a slightly brighter smile she leans forward, into the 'camera'. ]
Hello, everyone. My name is Hermione Granger, for anyone I haven't met yet, and I was just wondering if you'd mind answering a few questions I have?
[ She pauses for a moment, grabbing a piece of paper with a list on it and smoothing it out. ]
I was wondering if you'd all be able to tell me about magic, or powers, or anything that might not be considered 'normal' to the average human or otherwise that exist in your worlds? Maybe magical creatures, too, or beings that you think do not transcend to other places that you've heard of. In my world, if it's alright to call them that, we have magic, magical creatures and humans, giants, werewolves, vampires... But a lot of worlds - or universes, I suppose - don't.
[ She smiles, almost sheepish, shy. ]
I hope this isn't too intrusive, I'm just curious and I'd love to learn more, if I'm able.

You... have magic, then?

video;
In Camelot, there are many with such... gifts. Not so many as there were, before there was a Great Purge - but those who have them are wise to keep it quiet. Even today there are men and women executed simply for the crime of being born with magic.
[ Of all the emotions to express on that sentence, disappointment is probably not a typical one; but there it is all the same. ]

video;
Magic has been banned in Camelot since the time of King Uther.
[ Clipped. Matter-of-fact. He will not be the one to expose Emrys by a careless slip of the tongue. ]
Merlin is but Arthur's servant.
video;
[ She looks pensive before she shakes her head, leaning forward into the camera, all earnest honesty. ]
In my world Merlin was on the court of King Arthur and was one of the most powerful magic users to exist. He founded the Order of Merlin to help wizards and muggles alike and - and he was a great, powerful and kind man, wise as well. He wasn't just a servant.
video;
[ Perking up a little. ]
He is here? Could - could you get a message to him?
video;
video;
Please tell him I am here. And that Arthur is not with me.
[ A small pause during which he realises he's forgetting something. ]
Ah - Mordred, my lady.
video;
She knows all about Mordred. ]
Um, of course. I'll tell him next time I see him - I'm not sure where he's sleeping, but I can send him a message either way. And I'm no lady, honestly, it's just Hermione.
video;
A fortuitous meeting all the same, Lady Hermione.
[ He barely notices he's persisting with the title. Oops. ]
Is there anything I can give you in return?
video;
[ She lifts her eyebrow, almost teasing. ]
Hermione.
