[ The feed opens with Hermione in the library - where else would she be? - in the Seelie court, a pile of books and papers around her. It's obvious she's been reading and taking notes, going deeper and deeper into as many of the shelves as she can (and the only place she hasn't been allowed access is the Restricted Area, which she is going to get permission for soon). After a moment of brushing her hair out of her face and forcing a slightly brighter smile she leans forward, into the 'camera'. ]

Hello, everyone. My name is Hermione Granger, for anyone I haven't met yet, and I was just wondering if you'd mind answering a few questions I have?

[ She pauses for a moment, grabbing a piece of paper with a list on it and smoothing it out. ]

I was wondering if you'd all be able to tell me about magic, or powers, or anything that might not be considered 'normal' to the average human or otherwise that exist in your worlds? Maybe magical creatures, too, or beings that you think do not transcend to other places that you've heard of. In my world, if it's alright to call them that, we have magic, magical creatures and humans, giants, werewolves, vampires... But a lot of worlds - or universes, I suppose - don't.

[ She smiles, almost sheepish, shy. ]

I hope this isn't too intrusive, I'm just curious and I'd love to learn more, if I'm able.

[Galadriel's on the road right, but she has a free moment or two and she remembers this girl from the battle with the worms. It wouldn't hurt to have a discussion.]

I have found that 'normal' is rarely simple to define. There is much that mortals call 'magic' which my people would consider the ordinary workings of the world.

It is a very broad word, and I wouldn't use it if I had any other which might work - I don't think calling people 'muggles' would go down very well. [ She is trying, though, and brightens a little. ] What kind of things do the mortals see as magic, if I could ask?

[A light hum] There is a certain power which comes from deep understanding- a power which may be wielded on its own or given to an object of one's own making. I may weave a cloak which protects its wearer from unfriendly eyes, but is that 'magic?' Or is it simply the art of creation, performed by one who understands the properties of her materials and who may bend their wills to her own?

I suppose it depends on who is looking at it, then? I mean, to you it wouldn't be magic because it's something you've created, something you've made yourself, but to someone who hasn't seen anything like it before... It would definitely look like magic, right?

Precisely so. [A little laugh] We have, in a way, returned to the discussion of 'normal,' have we not? Both are more matters of perception than not.

We have. It's fascinating, really, the way that different viewpoints can influence the way we think, the way we perceive things... Which is why I'm trying to learn as much as I can here.

A wise choice. We know so little of this world and so little of one another; it would do us all well to take the time to learn.
