[ The feed opens with Hermione in the library - where else would she be? - in the Seelie court, a pile of books and papers around her. It's obvious she's been reading and taking notes, going deeper and deeper into as many of the shelves as she can (and the only place she hasn't been allowed access is the Restricted Area, which she is going to get permission for soon). After a moment of brushing her hair out of her face and forcing a slightly brighter smile she leans forward, into the 'camera'. ]

Hello, everyone. My name is Hermione Granger, for anyone I haven't met yet, and I was just wondering if you'd mind answering a few questions I have?

[ She pauses for a moment, grabbing a piece of paper with a list on it and smoothing it out. ]

I was wondering if you'd all be able to tell me about magic, or powers, or anything that might not be considered 'normal' to the average human or otherwise that exist in your worlds? Maybe magical creatures, too, or beings that you think do not transcend to other places that you've heard of. In my world, if it's alright to call them that, we have magic, magical creatures and humans, giants, werewolves, vampires... But a lot of worlds - or universes, I suppose - don't.

[ She smiles, almost sheepish, shy. ]

I hope this isn't too intrusive, I'm just curious and I'd love to learn more, if I'm able.

So you're a senior?

Something like that, yes. The eldest of all the students?

That's right. Back home, you'd be a third year in high school. You must really know a lot!

They were small, but one was black, and the other white. They also used to be human.

[ another smile, more open this time. ] Good advice. [ it reminds him of uncle ben, actually. ]

[ it makes him slightly uncomfortable that he already knows about the creatures from the books, but she probably has additional insight. ]

What's the coolest creature you've got?

The coolest? Oh, gosh...

[ She tilts her head, thinking. ]

Well, my favourites are House Elves - I fight for their rights, actually, and they're incredible creatures with so much power that we can barely begin to understand - but there are so many amazing things too... I suppose the most fascinating creature to someone who's new to my world would be a Thestral? They're magical pegasus like horses that can only be seen by people who have witnessed death.

Precisely so. [A little laugh] We have, in a way, returned to the discussion of 'normal,' have we not? Both are more matters of perception than not.

[ So that whole going crazy theory he's been entertaining? Sam is still riding with it and this isn't helping him reconsider at all. He watches the feed and, for a moment, can't decide if he should just go with it. ]

[ Which is always a good starter for a conversation. ]

[And they say she's too inquisitive.]

Hmm, that's absolutely understandable. It's a good, especially in places that are unfamiliar and hostile.

So long as people are peaceful and remember we're all just people, I'm sure it will be fine, won't it?

Hrm.

[ He's going to keep an eye on this. ]

And now in another war here.

[ She blinks, a little surprised before she gathers herself. She gets that waking up here can throw people a little out of things so she's not offended at all, but it's still a strange question to ask. ]

Yes, I am - at least, I was last time I checked.

Exactly! It's best to know as much as you can about any given situation, isn't it?

We have. It's fascinating, really, the way that different viewpoints can influence the way we think, the way we perceive things... Which is why I'm trying to learn as much as I can here.

Yes. It's not an ideal situation, but it's not something we're unused to either.

[ She shakes her head, obviously uncomfortable with the whole fighting aspect. ]

[ She smiles; she's modest but she's not modest enough to deny one of the aspects of herself she's most proud of. ]

I'd like to think so.

I hope so! I don't think many of us really want to fight, so...

[ Used to be human. Oh. ]

Could they turn back?

You shouldn't have to be used to it.

[ John rubs at his face. ]

There are some things we can't change. [ She purses her lips, shaking her head, solemn. ] All we can do is fight to make it better.

Still shouldn't be up to you to fight. Your life's just starting.

[ Of course, he'd joined the Marines right out of high school -- but after seeing the Kid die, seeing Gavroche and Ginny and Hermione and Mako fighting and talking about fighting like it's all they've known, he's got some strong opinions on how they shouldn't be in the middle of war. ]

We didn't really have a choice, but... You're right. It wasn't fair that so much responsibility was left to us, but we did it. We saved our world and we saved so many people - as many as we could. Even if we lost a lot along the way.

[ She shakes her head, feeling herself fall into that strange feeling of melancholy and disappointment. Swallowing, she shakes her head and smiles softly, as best as she can. ]

We're strong. We can do it.

So much like the ancient Tellius tongue then.

Demigods ring any bells? [ though, it's a bit of an odd term, isn't it? so luke chooses to rectify: ] Kids of gods. You know, Zeus, Ares, George Clooney. [ he counts, right? george would probably make a better god than his own dad, hermes. ]

I've been told a little about them from a few other people here. [ She nods, though, as he speaks. ] I learned about the Greek Gods from books, but I didn't have much time to learn all the ins and outs of it.
