The Void is close to the edge of Mount Verla. The Pyrii refuse to leave and they have a week, maybe two at best, before they're swallowed by the Void.

They don't want to abandon their home. So I want to move it.

I need help. If you're willing to help, no matter where you are in the world, I can make sure you get here within a few hours. Respond privately and I'll tell you what needs to happen.

Wan. What kind of help do you need? How do you plan to move their home? What are you planning?

They pyrii won't leave their home. The only way to save them is to move them.

[He recognizes the name and is relieved that she was still safe and hadn't gotten caught again.]

So I'm going to move them. The whole volcano. If this were my world, I could do it alone. Probably. But here, my power is so much less. I need the help.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help, I'm not... I'm not fond of fire.

[ She doesn't like to say she's terrified of it and the pyrii frighten her. They burned Faolan alive. But, they're apart of the larger collective of natural spirits. ]

I don't know what use I'd be.

Is there nothing you can do to help? Even if you're not here you could-

[It cut off as Wan grasped at thoughts.]

Water. There's no water here. We're going to be here for days. We need water. And food. And why didn't I think of any of this sooner?

[He saw Wan do some strange things with fire and water, but this? This is too much. Let the Pyrii vanish if that's what they want - at least Leathann has more to lose.]

[Leathann as a whole had more time than Mt Verla.]

Yes. Will you come and help? I can teach you to use the power of the earth. All you have to do is use it to help me try and move the volcano.

[ if toph was here, maybe he would be less cynical when approaching this entire plan, but she isn't. wan may be the avatar, but zuko's seen him at his weakest. it's been a concern of his — that this may just kill the avatar. his entire schtick is to protect the avatar. and zuko doesn't trust anyone else with the avatar aside from his friends. if toph was here, if toph hadn't left a year ago, maybe he'd have more faith in this plan working for them rather than against them. ]

[ protecting the avatar is why he had agreed to this — even though a small part of zuko thinks this may work. a year later, he still wears toph's metal bracelet around his upper arm. if she was here, he knows she'd agree to this stupid plan. she would've been the one to plant the damn thing into wan's head. ]

[ still, he continues to be the negative voice of reason. it's zuko's job, after all, to worry about the consequences even though he barrels straight into them when it's him leading the charge. ]

Why don't you just flip the world around while you're at it?

And drown the world in darkness? That wouldn't help anyone.

[He says it in jest, but there's a slightly manic edge to it. He knew this was next to impossible with his power as cut off as it was. But it was all he could think of. It was a chance. It was hope.]

While I understand your desperation, we cannot make the world smaller to fit the constraints for long. We can't buy time forever.

But it's worth the attempt. If we let them be swallowed and then find a way to stop the void a day, a week, a month later... then it'll be a regret. That there were lives we could have saved. It's worth trying. If we can't-

[His voice broke and he rubbed at his eyes, taking a deep breath to center himself. He tried to sound confident.]

Well, at least then we tried.

[He hadn't been planning on responding to any of the non-private replies, but it was Lumina and he didn't want her thinking he was ignoring her. So he sighed and sent her a private note of his own.]

They are people of this world, the same as you and I. They are worth saving. Just as you are. Just as the Jabberwock was. I will not give up on this without trying my hardest.

Why?

[Why are you so desperate to save them? Why ask others to risk your lives for their sake? Faolan swallows back bile and tries not to remember his previous encounters with the Pyrii too vividly, but it's hard not to despite himself. Burning and rotting alive respectively are not memories he will soon forget.]

Can you get to Mount Verla on your own or do you need a lift? I have a friend that can teleport you here if you do. Otherwise, get here fast and bring a mask to hide your face. Something comfortable enough to wear for a week.

It was perhaps too dangerous to contact him. Nevertheless, he had vowed to protect those in need. There was little he could do, yet... ]

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I'd be able to do anything, given that my abilities are primarily for negating magic. But, if you know an Unseelie woman named Nasrin Lavellan, she might have some power that could prove useful in your task.

I'm not sure how I could help exactly, but let me know what you need and I can at least hear you out. You talk of moving their home but....how? literally? Because that's way beyond what I could do. For the record.

[This much is probably risky enough. Let alone possibly being seen with him in person with all this Court tension. But this is important. He wouldn't be asking if it wasn't.]

[He was so relieved that Snow responded.]

We haven't the space. The time. The strength. But even if we did, I don't believe that they want saving. I wish I could tell you otherwise.

They don't want to leave their home. That doesn't mean they all want to die. Only that they're willing to.

And I believe we have the strength. Time is more limited, but that's why it has to happen now.

[He was fully aware it was a stop-gap measure. That even if they managed to move the Pyrii, in a year's time, maybe less, they would likely be facing the same problem again. But that was time they could use to try and stop the void. Wan was not going to just give up and accept the end of an entire people because they were too stubborn to built a new home.]

[ the shock korra receives when she sees this post is such that she almost drops her compass. it's almost like it's turned to liquid in her fingers and her body is numb. she'd met aang here; she'd befriended him; she's taking care of his animal guide. but seeing aang as a doofy kid still working at becoming a fully realized avatar is nothing compared to the guy who started it all.

her breath is short. how long has he been here? why didn't she know? she's heard all sorts of stories of people using elemental magic, but after arriving here in the drabwurld and seeing people summon fire and move earth without any practice at all — she grew jaded to the idea and brushed it all off.

silly. silly and stupid. but now that she knows wan is here, she knows she has to help — no matter how naive the idea may seem to some. it's korra's type of idealism, and she'll run with it.

mako and ran can look after the road while she's gone, they've done it before. ]

I know some earth magic. [ and it hurts, calling it "magic," but she knows she has to ease people into the idea of who she is. ] But even though you don't care who's in what court, the Natives will. If anyone can hide their shard, they should.

The only natives that will be there are the Pyrii and a friend of mine. None of them care. The rest will be shardbearers and I'm pretty sure that most of them don't have the ability to tell one shard from another. The biggest problem is being able to tell a face from the crowd. So wear a mask. One that covers your face without restricting your breathing.

[Wan was answering the reply almost by rote after having several conversations of the same vein and almost missed the name that was displayed as who it was from.
