I have heard that our shards possess a power of sorts - once that could be wielded with the proper training... [It's an intriguing thought, although it is equally terrifying knowing full well what power could do in the wrong hands.] If there are those who might be willing to share more on this, I would be most grateful.

I do not wish to use it to harm others, rather to help. I come from a family of skilled healers and would like to lend my assistance however I might in these dark times. [Which brings her to her next point...]

I also seek information on the healing properties of the native herbs, any assistance would be much appreciated. [She gives a soft inclination of her head before offering a smile.] Aa' menealle nauva calen ar' malta.

It does. Each day I spend, I get better at it. A bit like working your muscles, really.

[Sure, any of them can learn how to use their shards but Ryan doesn't really feel like having his entire conversation heard by just anyone right now.]

I'm just learning how to use my shard, too, but I was learning from Lancelot. I don't know if you've met him but he's a good teacher. It's...a lot harder than it looks.

And I don't know a lot about the herbs here but my best friend's learning from a few people. Hermione, I think. Mako I think was training with one of the native healers, too, and they're both on our side. They could probably give you the answers you're looking for.

[A beat.] I mean...if you're looking for specific answers. Are you, or are you just curious in general?

I have not, but I'm glad to hear you have an instructor. Most things that seem simple are not quite so.

[She smiles at the mention of Hermione, giving a small sound of approval.] She is in good hands, then... [A beat of her own.] Of which side do you speak? And, I am more curious than anything at the moment - just seeking information.

[She had learned rather quickly that though she didn't choose her side, the association had been made, nonetheless. One that would remain so long as she held her shard.]

Truthfully? He's kind of been my instructor for a lot of things since I got here but there are bound to be others around that have learned by now.

[And it's with that question that Ryan realizes the huge error he just made. He really should stop assuming (or at least stop using Kelsi as his basis for judging who's in what court.)] Um. I mean I guess it doesn't really matter. We're all in this together, right? Never mind, the point is that no matter what side answers for these kind of things should be available for everybody. There must be some who know of healing where the Shards are concerned. {Even if all the Shards can do is heighten the effects of healing, it's worth knowing.} I seek better tactics of defense from mine, though the recent boon I was granted has given me more versatility and strength.

I might be able to help with the herbs. I've been making potions and a lot of the things I've gathered here are the same things I've used at home. Maybe we could go over it one day?

[Pod is surrounded by books, and there's a wolverine just barely in view beside her that is far less interested in the books and more interested in the old...something made of leather that he's made a game of chasing over the part of the table that isn't covered with books.]

I might be able to offer some little help on the herbs. I am a Beast Healer apprentice myself, and we are taught the herbs and their uses, and so I am learning what I can of the herbs here. Some, at least, are the same as the herbs I knew at home!

I would be quite honored if you would share your knowledge with me. I have found that a lot of the herbs I have found are nothing like what I am accustomed to at home.
