Are the women in this world and your own given as much opportunity to defend themselves as the men?
[ she doesn't wait for any answers, giving a humorless snort of laughter at the locket before continuing. it's not a directly related addition to her question, but it's certainly on the same train of thought: ]
Ridiculous that those already holding power are given the privilege of training to the highest levels of their skills, but those most in need of it are left to rely on the protection of others.

[ She isn't cocky or arrogant - a lot of the time she knows her friends think she is being ridiculously modest - but she knows she's worked hard, she's proven herself and she has risen above everyone's expectations. ]
That's why I'm doing what I can to help fight for them. I'm just one person but sometimes that's all you need - and it's the same for gender, too. Maybe it'll take time but women have fought for decades to share the same power as men, especially in the muggle world.

I've rarely met so many girls like you and others here, but I'm glad that I've the chance. It... helps me think that it's possible. To make sure things change to be better, and that they stay that way.

[ She had seen it in the house elves, not having a voice until Dobby spoke to her. It's the same for the treatment of Werewolves and Vampires -- and Muggleborn, too. They all deserved a voice. ]
The first step is always the hardest.
video.
Wrong that they don't realize they have a voice, you mean. Because some are taught to believe their whole lives they've no choice... if the one's in power are clever. And that's a difficult idea to—break.
[ how randa had her convinced that she was stupid, good only for following his orders, that there was no way out. until po had told her that if she didn't believe in herself to believe in him when he said that she could do anything she wanted, and no one could stop her. ]
For some, without help or someone to make them believe, that first step might be near impossible.
video.
[ She isn't thinking of herself, now, but the House Elves; the creatures that, in her eyes, at least, are demonised, treated as slaves, servants, with nothing in return but beatings and ill-given gratitude. Seeing Dobby make the first step to showing that they could have a better life was incredible, even if thinking about him made a place deep in her heart ache.
She sighs, crossing her arms and trying to look less frustrated; the entire situation is wrong, given the fact that people end up hurt or suffering for it, and there's not much she can do. Even at home she wasn't entirely successful, for all her attempts. ]
That's why I hope there are more people that can take the first step, or say the first word. It's difficult but... It's amazing to see once it happens.
video.
...If I wanted to contact you for something in the future—someone who knows the importance of realizing that everyone has the right to their own lives—who would you be?
[ there are too many questions to ask, and it's muddling katsa's thoughts. she needs to think about something, but she doesn't want to stop talking to this girl, either. ]
video.
[ She smiles softly, nodding her head; she's open, welcoming, as she always tries to be. ]
You can contact me for anything. I'll always do my best to reply.
