[ thomas has not been a common presence on the network since his arrival to the drabwurld; gaining the ability to talk telepathically with the people who've been close to him have made it fairly easy for him to communicate without it. but this time, thomas addresses the network at large, although only with a (perhaps semi-familiar) voice.

he sounds uneasy. tired. ]

Do any of you have nightmares? How do you deal with them?

[ it's a stab at anonymity, mostly because he doesn't want to show his face, but the storms currently raging over head have not made his life any easier. thomas sleeps fitfully, twenty minutes at a time, wakes up screaming. no one's going to see his face as an effect of that. eventually, he tacks on a soft--]

I'm trying. I wish it was easier. If I could just tell it to stop, I would.

There are some things you can do-- to at least gain security here. [She came here as a young girl with no skill in battle. The only things she's had to gain is skill in politics, but she's navigated quite well.]

You can learn to harness your shard. I've heard of some training others, though that might be dependent on which faction you're on. You can also ask the royals to bequeath something to you, abilities or weapons, perhaps a guard.

It might not be an immediate solution, but peace of mind goes a long way as well.

Harness your shard? [ that's what gets his attention; he's heard rumors of that, but didn't know people actually got good at it. he's not the type for guards, but if he can fix it himself.... ]

Thomas. [ he doesn't bother giving a last name, at this point, because thomas is just thomas and that's the end of that story. he feels a little awkward in returning the favor, but thomas fidgets before bowing his head too. ] Thanks for your help, Lucrezia.

I'm glad I could help. [Her words are genuine, knowing too well what can happen to someone who often has nightmares. She barely slept when Djem was killed. For her dowry no less.]

Sure. [ we'll see about that, tommy is still kind of not trusting with...pretty much anybody. still, she was nice to him, so he should return the favor...probably. ]
