[ thomas has not been a common presence on the network since his arrival to the drabwurld; gaining the ability to talk telepathically with the people who've been close to him have made it fairly easy for him to communicate without it. but this time, thomas addresses the network at large, although only with a (perhaps semi-familiar) voice.

he sounds uneasy. tired. ]

Do any of you have nightmares? How do you deal with them?

[ it's a stab at anonymity, mostly because he doesn't want to show his face, but the storms currently raging over head have not made his life any easier. thomas sleeps fitfully, twenty minutes at a time, wakes up screaming. no one's going to see his face as an effect of that. eventually, he tacks on a soft--]

Thanks. [ --and the line goes dead. ]

[ a lot of these suggestions are similar--it makes thomas wonder how bad the other shardbearers here in the drabwurld have it, too. how many of them are just coping, trying to make it from day to day in their lives without remembering the bad things they've done, being reminded of them in dreams? he's just a kid, still, and it's hard to remember that sometimes. thomas feels like he's an old man, weathered and battle-scarred and tired down to his bones.

quietly, with a little humor, thomas admits: ] I don't really have anyone like that, but I could probably try a candle. [ knowing his luck, he'd probably light his room on fire overnight, though. ] Thank you--I'm pretty desperate for anything, right now.

I understand. I'd wake up a lot back home sometimes. Charming would light a candle, saying it would capture the nightmares from me so I could sleep again. It didn't immediately help, I had the nightmares for months, but....he tried. It did help me feel better at least.

[The aftermath of the Sleeping Curse took a while. And never entirely went away. Even now if she is in a deep enough sleep she finds herself back in that firey room. She can't help but shiver at the memories. Remembering Charming and Henry both suffered the curse.]

I hope you find something that works. It seems this isn't such a unique problem to have around here.

That's sweet. [ "charming" recalls old stories of fairy tales. thomas doesn't remember them, but it sounds like something that should belong in a fairy tale. a part of him is jealous of people who live a life that can have things like that--the rest just knows he's irrational and that he has chosen every burden he carries.

thomas sighs. ] Yeah. I think most of the shard holders are a little troubled.

It was. He still is. [Fairytales would be right, though she has yet to actually introduce herself by name to have him properly recognize it - potentially.]

Which is a shame, though I know I can't seek to help everyone. It's perhaps even more limited in what I can do if those that are more troubled are over in the Unseelie Court. But I'd like to think everyone would try. We're all caught in this just the same.

Is he here with you?

[ oh, she's seelie. it's strange how alliances and friendships carry over from either end, he thinks. like it really doesn't matter to most of the so called shardbearers, the soldiers who have brought over here.

he rubs the back of his head, though she can't see. ] Well, I'm on the Unseelie side, and you've helped me, so don't feel too limited.

No. At least, not yet. I've not found anyone here from home also with me here in Seelie at least. Though my step mother is apparently with you in the Unseelie. I'm not sure I'm really going to be so concerned which side people are on. We're all brought into this together in the same situation, whether we're in Seelie or Unseelie.

[Though there is a slight surprise at hearing that all the same. So many she's been speaking to with these lockets are on the other side as well. And thus far there really doesn't seem that huge a difference to Snow.]

Well. I'm glad I could help. Or at least try to. I'm Snow.

Thomas. [ thomas's tone is fairly friendly, kind--the people on the network have been nothing but helpful so far, and thomas is grateful for it. seelie, unseelie...for as much as matters to the monarchs, it doesn't seem to matter to most of the shardbearers. snow is right--this isn't about them, for as much as the monarchs want it to be. and thomas likes that, likes that he doesn't feel like he's doing this for them.

which...speaking of. ] What's your step mother's name? I can try and keep an eye on her, if you want.

Regina. Her name is Regina Mills. But I'd appreciate that. We're working on finding somewhere to meet, somewhere neutral to catch up properly in person.

[Since she's not sure Regina herself would be so keen to go by her own Enchanted Forest name as the Evil Queen. Regina is much more neutral. Even if their status and titles are easy enough to guess at given their accommodations.]

Thomas then. It's nice to meet you. Er, sort of.

You should try the Station--that's where most people meet up. There's a cafe that has pretty good drinks, and if you have any tech, it usually works there. If I see her, I'll point her that way. What does she look like?

[ thomas knows how hard it was for him before teresa defected--he can only imagine it with family. besides, ~~stalking~~ keeping track of people will give him something to do, and some new faces to learn. ]

That is...yes, where there are more modern conveniences, if I gather right. I imagine that would do. She's usually wearing darker clothes and has black hair, about shoulder length. If you mention Snow, I'm sure she'll listen.

[Which is more subtle than her Enchanted Forest persona at least, but hopefully that would at least help give him something to go off of.]
