[ thomas has not been a common presence on the network since his arrival to the drabwurld; gaining the ability to talk telepathically with the people who've been close to him have made it fairly easy for him to communicate without it. but this time, thomas addresses the network at large, although only with a (perhaps semi-familiar) voice.

he sounds uneasy. tired. ]

Do any of you have nightmares? How do you deal with them?

[ it's a stab at anonymity, mostly because he doesn't want to show his face, but the storms currently raging over head have not made his life any easier. thomas sleeps fitfully, twenty minutes at a time, wakes up screaming. no one's going to see his face as an effect of that. eventually, he tacks on a soft--]

Pet a dog, huh. [ thomas's voice takes on a bit of amusement--there's a loud, unhappy yip that sounds way too close to the locket and thomas laughs, then chokes out an ow, min! before returning to the call. ] I guess I'd actually have to find one that'd stay an animal, then.

Thanks, man. [ he says so kindly, still shaking out his fingers on his end of the call. thomas is willing to try anything at this point. he feels like he's going to be delirious if he doesn't sleep much longer. ] I keep thinking if I just don't sleep at all, that'll take care of it. Better things to do, I guess.

There are some pretty nice ones walking around. You know, somewhere. [ He's kidnapped like three. ] And it's no problem! I mean, it's better to sleep at all than to try to stop, as far as I know. Not that it always feels like it. Man, and that thing where you're trying super hard to sleep all night and then you only feel tired when it's time to get out of bed? Talk about frustrating. So yeah, I'm happy to try and help.

[ thomas chuckles, sort of fond of this guy and his rambling already. ] I appreciate it. I guess you're right--my friend keeps joking that I'm going to start running into things if I don't get some rest.

[ if only it was that easy, though. ] I definitely wouldn't recommend not sleeping to anyone.

Likewise. Insomnia's a tough business to get into. Or back out of. [ It's not video, but it's probably pretty easy to figure from tone of voice that he's smiling. ] Especially once you're running into stuff. I hope you get something figured out!
