1st Hope {Video} Both Courts
[It takes a moment, given these things are a little different from a phone, but Snow figures it out, thanks in part to some memories as Mary Margaret. She peers at the locket, a slight frown initially as she hopes it is working, brushing some long dark strands behind her ear in some small hope of looking presentable. If her trademark dark locks, bright red lips and pale skin invoke any sort of familiarity, well. They're supposed to. Though she may not necessarily be the Snow White from the fairytales in the most traditional sense.]
Right. I assume....this is working now. So. For those I haven't yet met, I'm Snow White, in the Seelie Court. And I've got a--no, actually quite a few questions since I recently arrived here myself. First and foremost regarding this war. I can hardly decline anyone a hand when they're in need, but if I am to help fight, I'd like more details. How large a conflict is this? Is there to be limited or no access to speak to friends or family that may be in the Unseelie court? I ask because I know if some others from home show up, they won't all be placed in this castle accommodations, from what I gather.
The other thing is I'd like to use this to ask about if there are any weapons around? Unfortunately, I wasn't exactly brought here with my own bow, so if I am to fight and there is no other way around this, I'd like to at least be able to defend myself. And I imagine I'm hardly the only one curious about this hunt.
Of course, there are plenty more questions, but I think for now that covers the main two for now. I'll just end this here and thank everyone in advance for the help.
[Snow purses her lips and her hand moves to end the video, after a little fumbling.]

No family, but I do have friends I've made here in th' Seelie court that I speak to. It's, ah, best tae keep some conversations private though.

[She makes a small face at that, then shakes her head. It's probably something she's seen around the Station but not recognised.]
Aye, I've been chosen as Unseelie, though I rarely use my rooms at th' castle. I'm currently residing in Chateau de Rêveur, when I'm not travelin'. You'll find there's many neutral grounds, m'lady.
video;
[If such a thing would be allowed. Snow isn't entirely sure how strict such things might be with this whole war situation, after all.]
Chateau de Reveur? I see. So there are neutral grounds that Seelie and Unseelie can reside and meet if they don't want to get involved?

[She should possibly have expected this sort of thing, really. People from all sorts of worlds and times were here, after all. Of course some would recognize the name from fairytales.]
Though whether I'm 'the' Snow White depends on which one you refer to, I imagine. Though I've never met another.
[Outside of the stories, anyway.]

Weapons-wise, I would guess your best option is to speak to the castle guards? I am sure there is an armory you might be able to acquire a suitable weapon from.
video
But we're not forbidden? If we do have friends there? I'm just wary when they talk about a war. I don't want to fight at all if it can be helped, but especially not against those I consider a friend, or even family, if one of them were to get brought here too and end up there. They can't really expect that, can they? For us to draw weapons against them? I suppose at the very least we are still allowed to speak with them. Which is more than I was half expecting.
The armory? I wasn't sure if we were allowed to take anything, but then I hadn't asked yet. I'll have a look and see if I can't find a bow there, thanks, Faramir. And please, just Snow is fine.
[If he only knew her proper title. But she's not exactly shouting that. Though most can possibly guess with her name alone, and the certain accommodations she has.]
video
They have not spoken against it? I fear I have not concerned myself overly with the doings of the other court, but my lord has kin across the divide, including his beloved, and she dwells now with him here by leave of the King and Queen. As for the rest... I have heard it said that some months back before I was brought here there was battle between the courts. Whether kin and companions were forced to cross swords I could not tell you with any certainty, but if not then, it would seem to be inevitable.
As for the armory, it would stand to reason that they would wish to arm their army, but I was brought with my own weapons, and could not tell you more, L... Snow.
video
If only I were so lucky. But even that should be a great help, knowing of the armory.

[Though he isn't too shocked by the idea, since he's plenty used to fairytale and folktale characters being more real than most people realize.]
As for the war stuff, some people turn it into a big deal, but there's plenty of us who could care less if you're put into Seelie, Unseelie or you're just some wandering hitchhiker.
video.
[But at least he doesn't seem too surprised or confused on her name, either way.]
I suppose that is to be expected to some degree. And there are other ways to help without necessarily fighting on the front lines, so to speak. But that is good to know. I just figured that seemed like something to check on, in case I have any friends or family that have ended up there.
video.
Any notable people? I've been here a while so I know a good number of the current residents. I think there're dwarves around. No idea if they'd be any of yours though.
video.
[There's a pause as she considers for a moment. What little she knows of the Unseelie and what might qualify someone to be placed there instead.]
I suppose....the main people I'm looking for if they are here would be my husband. Charming. Though I think if he were here he would more likely be placed in the Seelie Court than Unseelie. Otherwise possibly my step mother, Regina? If she were here she might be there. Emma and Henry should be safe back home, as far as I know.
[Safe from the curse. Even if that meant the both of them forgetting Storybrooke and meeting everyone there. She swallows, lips pursed as she lowers her gaze at that.]

[She's in the infirmary, as she normally is the past couple weeks and sitting beside her mothers bed.]
This war spans this entire world, so far as I can tell, and has been going on for many years. And contact between the courts, I do not believe it is encouraged but that has hardly stopped me from speaking with my family. Especially as my own daughter was chosen by that court, though Queen Solais has granted her rooms connected to my own in Caer Glaem.
[So the monarch's aren't completely unreasonable. Or they at least understand that there are situations that could lose them favor with their Shardbearers.]
And you can search the armoury for something that suits you, if you like. Otherwise, I am sure you could commission someone to craft something for you.
video
[There's a slight wave in greeting as Snow sees and hears the elf at the locket.]
It sounds pretty....complicated. I suppose my hope that this can be mediated is likely wishful thinking, that there won't be any or very little fighting involved in all this. But that is good to note. At the very least, I'd like to be able to keep contact with any of my friends or family that might show up in the other accommodations. So I appreciate that much.
[The next gets a nod.] The armory. Yes, I might just do that. I didn't exactly arrive with any money or much at all on me but perhaps in time I might consider commissioning a bow specifically for me.
video
So long as you are careful, there should not be any trouble. After all, they have given us these lockets and it allows contact between courts.
I am sure you will find a way to earn gold while here. Perhaps even as a boon when next the monarchs offer them.
video
[Regina did give her a choice of leaving. Which basically equated to being banished from her own kingdom. Leaving her to rule and likely continue mistreating her people. It was that and with Charming's encouragement that Snow defied her.]
I see. I can be careful. I mean, as far as I know I've nobody else from home here at all, but if others were to show up I figured it best to check on that in advance to be sure.
A boon. Like a gift? Perhaps. Though I've done nothing yet to warrant them giving me anything at all.

The conflict's probably larger than you expect, but you're not completely cut off from the other court. Just be careful when contacting them. There's no telling what these things actually pick up, but I've managed to make a few friends on the other side. If you're not announcing it all over the place I think you'll be okay.
As for weapons? There's a whole armoury that we can borrow from. When I checked there were swords and bows and armor and all sorts of other stuff I didn't really get a good look at the last time I was in there.
Does that help at all?
video;
[But then, thus far she personally knows nobody in either the Seelie or Unseelie Courts, as far as Snow is aware at this point. So it isn't yet really an issue she's too worried about right now.]
That does help, yes. I think I may need to pay the armory a visit. Thank you.
video;
Sure, no problem. I know there're a few blacksmiths around, too, if you want something customized. They can probably help.
[A beat.] So you're gonna just straight into the fight?

Snow-white! Snow-white! O Lady clear!He tilts his head contemplatively. ] I am Thranduil, Elvenking of the Maechenibryth.I have never found there to be any great difference between the two courts. The Evenstar of my people was claimed by the Unseelie, while her mother and grandmother are residents of Caer Glaem. The act of segregation itself fosters distrust, not the reasons for it.
private video »
[It may be a while, but she does try to recall titles and some of what she learned years back among all the royalty. There's something of a faint smile at her lips, half amused and half bittersweet.]
Evenstar? I assume that to be one of your family or your people? I hate to consider that some are forced on opposite sides of those they consider friend or family. But I suppose it will take a lot to convince those here of that, to work together and stop this fighting.
