1st Hope {Video} Both Courts

[It takes a moment, given these things are a little different from a phone, but Snow figures it out, thanks in part to some memories as Mary Margaret. She peers at the locket, a slight frown initially as she hopes it is working, brushing some long dark strands behind her ear in some small hope of looking presentable. If her trademark dark locks, bright red lips and pale skin invoke any sort of familiarity, well. They're supposed to. Though she may not necessarily be the Snow White from the fairytales in the most traditional sense.]

Right. I assume....this is working now. So. For those I haven't yet met, I'm Snow White, in the Seelie Court. And I've got a--no, actually quite a few questions since I recently arrived here myself. First and foremost regarding this war. I can hardly decline anyone a hand when they're in need, but if I am to help fight, I'd like more details. How large a conflict is this? Is there to be limited or no access to speak to friends or family that may be in the Unseelie court? I ask because I know if some others from home show up, they won't all be placed in this castle accommodations, from what I gather.

The other thing is I'd like to use this to ask about if there are any weapons around? Unfortunately, I wasn't exactly brought here with my own bow, so if I am to fight and there is no other way around this, I'd like to at least be able to defend myself. And I imagine I'm hardly the only one curious about this hunt.

Of course, there are plenty more questions, but I think for now that covers the main two for now. I'll just end this here and thank everyone in advance for the help.

[Snow purses her lips and her hand moves to end the video, after a little fumbling.]

Do I look like a Disney Princess here? No, don't actually...answer that. But. Yes. There were actually eight dwarves, before one of them was killed. It's all a long story and pretty complicated, actually. I have yet to find Charming here, but I can manage if I have to. We always find each other, one way or another. He'll come to me or I'll sort this out and go back home to him. Either way.

[Well. That's. New. She can't help the slight pause and surprise initially. But that doesn't stop her agreeing if that is what the girl wishes.]

If you'd like? Though I admit it isn't exactly like I have practice writing autographs outside of signing off for class assignments when I was a teacher.

[Forgive the poor girl; she's only thirteen.]

[Barely much older than Henry. Snow can't help feeling almost nostalgic. A natural instinct to help her.]

Then I certainly can. Though I'm not sure how to get it to you. Are you in the Seelie Court? I'm told if you aren't then there are certain areas we could meet.

Yeah, I'm Seelie and still in the castle. Over by the rose wall.

...but I don't have any paper. Or a pen. Or, well... anything really.

All right then. You just leave that to me. If you're in Seelie, you can't be too far from me. I'll find you. And I'm sure I can manage to find paper and something to write with.

[She proceeds to search around her room to see if there is anything, while she talks, brushing some long strands from her face as some fall forward.]

Your parents read you a lot of fairytales?

[Though her story isn't exactly the traditional one most were brought up with.]

Not really. But I've seen most of the movies. School had us reading some of those old German ones.

They're a lot darker than the Disney ones.

I see. Yes, the original versions weren't so...child friendly. Though I suppose the one I gave my grandson could have been worse.

[It didn't show the most violent parts in the pictures, at least. But it was still possibly disturbing at points as he read about their lives in the Enchanted Forest.

Snow searches and asks, eventually obtaining paper and a pen to write with, checking on directions before heading to the rose gardens.]

Well, it's. Complicated. But the 'Evil Queen' in the story happened to be his step mother. Which I did not realize at the time.

[When the book talks about his grandfather getting killed, children nearly being eaten by a witch, his other grandfather doing all manner of shady deals...]

Like I said, it's. A long story. But I think I'm nearly there now. The rose garden, you said?

[Kara looked from her locket to see if she could spot Snow.]

The rose wall. There's not real garden here that I can find yet. But there are tons of roses that grow on vines on the inner walls of the castle.]

It is. Long story, really.

[She pauses, giving a nod.]

I think I see it. Or, the start of it. I can't be too far.

[Which she isn't, it doesn't take long for her to find the other in person, giving a relieved smile that she managed to find her way around. There's a pause as she considers. She hasn't yet written anything on the paper, but she figures she could ask what the girl might want.]

There you are! So, was there anything in particular you wanted me to write? I'm pretty new to the whole autograph thing.

[A slip of a girl in her young teens awaited and her face lit up when Snow found her.]

Um, um, whatever you want. I've never gotten an autograph before. Oh, my name's Kara. Um, Kara Beckworth.

Kara it is then. Seems we're both winging this autograph thing. But I can try.

[She does. It just takes a moment as she writes a short message before her name/signature, leaning it against her knee briefly and hands it over to the girl with a small smile. It's not a lot, not so heartfelt as other letters might be when she's just barely met this child, but she tries.]

[The look of wonder in Kara's eyes when she took the paper, like it was the most precious thing ever, lit up the area.]

Wow... Thank you so much.

You're welcome. This sort of welcome and reaction is better than what I might have expected at one point.

[Being wanted and all. And then that period she was scorned for being with David in Storybrooke. It makes her smile the way Kara's face lights up at it, something so simple.]

Why? Is the Evil Queen here?

[And would it be possible to get her autograph too?]

Regina? I'm not sure. If she is here I have yet to hear from her. But if she is, I imagine she could be placed in the Unseelie Court, which would explain why I've yet to see her. If they did also bring her here as well, that is.

[It would make things both so much easier to have an ally around. Well, an ally of sorts. There are still some lingering tensions there of course but overall they have made so much progress from their earlier fighting and threats. Snow still wouldn't entirely wish for Regina to be here either, in a war like this. But it's out of her control.]

But you're right. I was previously wanted for crimes against the Queen.

It's not your fault you're fairer than her. That's not a crime!

[Sometimes Kara was very naive like any 13 year old. Sometimes she wasn't, being a werewolf.]

Well, it was.....more to it than that. A lot more. I told a secret of hers when I shouldn't have, thinking I was helping her. But she got hurt and never entirely forgot or forgave that.

[She won't say on the secret, that would be Regina's story to tell if she were here and felt like sharing. Suffice to say that is the situation in a nutshell to how it all started. And Snow still harbors some guilt and responsibility, even if she was all of about ten years old at the time.]

[God, how petty the Evil Queen had to be.]

...it sucks that you did that, but it's still not something to try to kill someone over.

[Yeah, she was pretty. Stubborn and vengeful like that. Once.]

But she didn't. Charming found me. True Love can defeat any curse.

[Kara gave a wistful teenage sigh.] I can't wait to meet my mate and have that...

[pause]

...is that really his name - Charming? [What kind of mother named their son 'Charming'?]

Maybe you will, one day.

[Because of course Snow is all about encouraging love and how wonderful it is. The question gets a light laugh from her as she shakes her head.]

Oh, no. It's not really his name. Just a nickname I gave him that seems to have stuck.
