[Kousuke's set his locket on the head of his bed, and he's back away from it, waving, though a bit unenthusiastically.]

Hey guys, I got this locked away from Unseelie, because I'm gonna assume most Unseelie aren't here, and I don't really want the army marchin' on us to see where we're evacuating people. Which is what I'm talkin' about.

This army ain't strictly fighting for the Unseelie, and ain't strictly fighting against the Seelie. From what I heard, it's a guy who roused an army to try to get somethin' back he thinks is his. So I'm opening up an offer and a discussion on where, how and when to evacuate.

If you're a noncombatant, if you can't promise yourself you can hold a weapon and maybe kill somebody, then your job is to evacuate and help other people leave too. If you wanna make it a nice trip, I recommend Parrais. It's safe and high up in the mountains to the west, and if they close down, they'll still have enough supplies for everybody. You're probably gonna have to pull your weight, but it's gonna be safe.

If you don't mind livin' off the land for a while, you can hide out in Eaglais, where the Unseelie can't go. I don't wanna let anyone who doesn't know how to camp go and do that, though. So you better have a group that knows what they're doin'...

Oh, and there's the Station, which I haven't been to yet, but which seems pretty safe. Neutral territory and all.

Okay, so. Bottom line is... If you're gonna be of better use outta town when the army gets here, then I'm ready to find you a place to go and help you get there.

And if you got any better ideas about places for people to go, let me know. Also, let me know if you got any ideas of how we're gonna deal with this situation... Cos I'm not a bad strategist, but I don't really wanna put any bets on our side right now.

[The light of day is no kinder than the dusk of yesterday, but at least Aubri has been given enough time to make himself a little more presentable. His feathers are still in disarray and he's careful to keep the left side of his face away from the locket but there's less obvious blood matted through feathers and fur. His every intention is to keep this short -- he's found it within himself to actually travel today and he feels as if he needs to travel faster than the army that left yesterday.]

Some of you know that an army marches toward Caer Glaem. [He had considered warning only those who were aligned with Seelie. However, he has friends among Unseelie and isn't dumb enough to assume he's the only one. And if any Unseelie have objections to Celegorm's march, just maybe he can spur them toward taking some action, as well. In his mind, this is not Seelie vs Unseelie. Not yet.] Do not take this lightly; it is an army of considerable strength and number. I urge you to make preparations.

[A pause. Celegorm charged him to deliver a very specific message but Aubri will not be cowed. But something needs said.] I do not believe that reason will halt their march.

[[threadjacks welcome, if you've a desire for conversations between characters in this post. go to town.]]

It was hard enough for him, knowing that his grandmother was aware that he would die in the absence of phantoms to eat... But when she offered herself up to be turned into one in order to ensure his ability to survive, it was even worse.

She knew she'd die. Haruto had given her the speech and everything. Gates turn into phantoms when they fall to despair. He had tried so hard to keep his secret from her, he'd known that she was just going to make things even harder... But he hadn't realized it would come to this. There she was... telling the phantom to kill her.

And then Shunpei was captured and held for ransom... With her as the payment. She wanted to go. She ordered him to take her. He'd never felt so miserable in his entire life. His chest hurt just thinking about it. She was always giving of herself to take care of him... And he'd only just realized.

In this memory, he stands in front of the door of the spare room in Remnants, knocks, and pushes it open, face drawn and serious.

"Kousuke..." She says.

"Gramma..." he answers. "Let's go back to Fukui right now, okay?"

"No, Kousuke!" she yells. He jumps, hands at his side like a child... Always like that with her.

She sighs. "How shameful... Yesterday, that's all I wanted to hear. But now, it's the last thing I want to hear!"

He turns, shouting back. "I finally figured it out! How you felt... You've been worried about me this whole time. I finally get it..." He feels his eyes filling with tears, his throat tightens. "But if I lost you now... I'd be the one to fall into despair."

She starts to cry, too. "You silly boy! I would despair if you sacrificed anyone else for my sake!"

"Gramma..." He sniffles back.

"You need to get ready, Kousuke!" She insists, shaking him. "You don't want to abandon Shunpei, either, do you?"

He shakes his head, tears beginning to fall, and then she offers something to him. He doesn't cry very often... He doesn't smile very often when he does. But seeing the origami lion she made him, the symbol of his identity as beast, he smiles even as the tears fall from his eyes.

"That's my gramma..." he whispers. "You saw right through me..."

She pats him gently, reminding him of all the times she took care of him over the years. And then the two of them come up with a plan, together.

[Chieri looks grim opening the locket this evening, her kirara floating around her in an attempt at comfort. She's spent the last few days out in the wilderness desperately trying to lend her strength to the stars and the souls calling for help, but to no avail. Now change is happening, and it's time to reach out.]

Everyone's noticed the sky, haven't they? The past few days, I've been hearing voices from beyond it calling for help. And I've been doing what I can, but just by myself isn't enough. I need your help, everyone. Please.

[The plea is slightly desperate, those images of souls being torn apart rattled her and despite how mature she always tries to seem it's not difficult to notice this is a cry from a scared child. Chieri needs everyone to come together. War or not, surely the people of the Drabwurld will want to help people in pain. Right?]

For those of you that don't know me, I'm Sono Chieri of AKB0048. We're a group of idols that can channel emotions and prayers into strength through music. Despite lending those souls all the strength I can, it hasn't made much difference on it's own. Idols are strongest when their hearts resonate with the people around them and become one, if everyone could come together, and listen to my song, I'm sure our wishes will reach them. Even if we can't go to where they are to help them, we can still send them the power to protect themselves and face what's coming. It doesn't take anything from you, all you have to do is listen and hope. That's all.

I'm going to hold a concert at the station, tonight if I can, and as many nights after as it takes. We have those rings to help us travel now, I'd like it if everyone showed up. Thank you.

((I will be putting up a station log at the weekend that will be open to all, this is just a note to warn you that showing up to the concert opens your characters up to emotion sharing, 'connecting their hearts and becoming one' means that if they listen to Chieri's song they develop sort of empathetic bonds with the people around them, not just Chieri. So if you want to have some CR get way more of an insight to each other that's great! If not, and you still want to have your character hear pretty music and help stars, we can work something out too. You can also use it as an excuse to resonate and bond even more deeply with stars if your character needs an excuse to grab/keep one. Let's make this concert fun for everyone!))
