[ Han is still staring at the ‘screen’ of the locket like this is the most ridiculous piece of tech he has seen in his entire life. Still, his voice is confident, and beyond the general expression of disgusted disbelief, there are hints of worry in the way his lips thin. ]

So, apparently, there are no space-ready or functional craft, and even if there were, there is no telling where in the Galaxy we even are. [ Assuming, of course, they would be in the galaxy that Han knows. Which he is beginning to suspect is not the case. ]

So here’s a better question… What’s the best craft available for transport, and what… business is there, to be doing.

[ Chewie’s not here, the kid’s not here, Leia’s not here, his blaster doesn’t work. Hell, he’d even take old Kenobi or even Greedo over most of this crowd. Better the devil he knows.

And, all right, he kinda breaks at this and has to ask. ]

Also, honestly, how do so many of you folks not know that light has a speed, and space travel is not difficult. Really.

[ And all this magic bs can't be real. Hell, these people are worse than Kenobi's Force mumbo jumbo ]

Everyone seems in trouble these days. [ Not that Han can really talk on that score >> ]

My ship. The Millenium Falcon. She's— she's the fastest ship in the galaxy. She may not look like much on the outside, but I've gone over her a thousand times, always tweaking, modifying, improving. I trust her like no other. I've done amazing things in that ship, and she's never let me down.

[ She is, also at this moment, without a functional hyperdrive, so far as he knows. The though is rather depressing, actually, but significantly less depressing than where Leia, Chewie, and Luke are right now, so he'll lean pretty hard on the missing his ship side of things. ]

Trouble will always be, so long as there are those who listen to greed and hate, rather than reason and good will [ a shrug ] - but my war was over, before coming here - we had finally achieved our hard-won peace.

She sounds a beautiful vessel, and if ever the chance arises, I would hope to be able to see her, one day!

[ In Han's mind, there is trouble and there's trouble. One of them does wonders for his business, and the other is just a pain in the ass all around. Han rather suspects everyone on this backwater rock is coming from the latter kind. ]

Peace has its good aspects. I'm glad that the big part of your troubles are over.

[ There just isn't going to be peace everywhere. A galaxy is just too big and too populous for that. ]

If she ever shows up, I'll be sure to give you a tour. Assuming she is a little more capable than a giant hunk of metal, given the way the planet here seems to be affecting technology.

As am I! I am familiar with war, but I much prefer peace. And it is good to know that if my Lady and I should be so blessed to have children that they will grow up in times of peace.

Thanks. [ He appreciates the sentiment, but Han suspects that whoever decided kidnapping by imps was a good idea wouldn't be too fond of functional space travel. ]
