[Castle appears on the locket network looking concerned. It's been 24 hours since he followed faeries to the place, 24 hours since his car went off the road into an embankment and he had… died? Maybe. It's his assumption, based on the faeries, which makes this some kind of afterlife. It isn't what he was expecting, but he's pretty pleased with it. Who knew heaven was one epic renaissance festival?

One problem remains though, and that's the location of Kate. Of course, if this is the afterlife, she's not here. As far as he knows, she's alive and well, possibly mourning his death on what was supposed to be their wedding day. He feels guilty, but hopes that he made the right choice in coming here.

He's spent the day searching the castle and asking whoever he comes across whether they've seen a woman matching Kate's description. No luck so far. Castle is finally taking the advice of some and asking over the locket network.]

Hi there. My name's Richard Castle and I'm new to your land. It's awesome, by the way. I've got no complaints, really, except… I'm looking for someone and wondering if she managed to find her way here too. Her name is Kate Beckett. She's in her thirties, tall, thin, long brown hair, really beautiful. [He smiles in a way that makes it obvious he's describing his lover.] But also really stern. Like… probably waving around a badge and barking that she's NYPD and what the hell is going on. [That's Kate in a nutshell.] Anyway, if anyone knows of her or her whereabouts, please let me know. If she's here, I'd like to find her.

[Despite the odds, there's still a little glimmer of hope in him. He and Kate have a very odd connection and a tendency to find each other, even when it seems unlikely. She could be here, though Castle doubts that Kate would actually acknowledge faeries existing, let alone follow them to another world. But, he could still hope.]

She's alive back home.. or at least I hope so.

That is lucky. [In asoiaf, everyone lives on a strict diet of everyone-is-dead (especially if you loved them.)] Though this land is wartorn, and not without its own dangers. How fare you this far?

[Fortunately Castle's world is a bit kinder, except when random SUVs drive him off of the road and he blacks out. Kate was nowhere near the SUV though, so he has to assume that she's still alive.]

Not bad. Still getting my bearings, learning about the different parts of this country from the gigantic map.

Of late, much of the map has come under fire in the war. Many places are not safe to travel to at present. [Most places tbh...]

Do you have an opinion on the war? Are you in the Seelie court?

[So far, opinions seemed mixed, with not a lot of people really buying into it. He assumed there had to be some though.]

Aye, I am.

[Jon frowns, shifting a bit, before locking the feed between them. He's not met many Shard-bearers at all who have bought into it on the Seelie side, but all the same...]

We wage this war to save the world, they say, all worlds... but I've spoken with men on the Unseelie side, and they say their queen claims they fight for the same thing. It's no more than politics, I would wager, and I think little enough of it in truth. I think less of the fact that they've brought my little sisters here as soldiers, too.

Seems that most wars in my world boil down to politics as well. Thanks for your candor.

[Castle appreciates the honesty. He's not sure if everyone would be so forthcoming.]

I'm sorry about your sisters. I have a daughter and I wouldn't want her to be involved in this.

[Funny that he's bending over backwards to find Kate, but not to find Alexis. It's probably because he doesn't even want to entertain the possibility that she could be here.]

There is war where we come from as well, in truth. They are safer here, in some senses, though this place is not without its own cruelties.

[He offers a wan smile that disappears quickly.]

You seem like you come from a place that's somewhat similar to this.

Well, so far as I can tell, there's no fairies in Westeros. No elves or goblins or trolls, either. [But he gets what the man is saying, he thinks, by strength of having dealt Stiles for so long alone.] But my land is more like this than it is like the Station, aye. That sort of place is what will come in the future of mine, to hear a man I know tell it, though I'm not so sure of that either. He hails from Beacon Hills, if that means anything to you. Some Kingdom named America.

America, yes. That's where I'm from. New York City. I can't place Beacon Hills...

I've never heard of Westeros, but it does sound like the past of where I come from. We don't have any kind of supernatural creatures either.
