[There's a boy with white hair, quite obviously rather young however, staring with eyes blue and wide, a curiosity coursing through him as he peeks through closely. There's a moment where he seems quite anxious, as if he's unable to speak, but as he pulls back, it passes fast, a notable smile blooming suddenly on his face. The video shakes from his apparent bouncing, peering into the locket with nervous excitement.]

Hello! The name's Jack Frost, and if you can hear me, if you can see me—I really hope you can see me—please say something, anything, really.

[Fifteen years and he's only ever spoken to another spirit or two. Oh, how he longs for conversation! To be able to hear responses to questions, laughter towards his jokes, anything to let him know that he's heard, that he's seen.

He lifts a hand, hesitating for a beat before a small wave of frost lifts from his finger tips and he blows it forward. A hearty laugh soon follows, quite pleased with the act.]

I don't know much about what's going on out there, but I've got a huge stash of ammo for the best snowball fight you'll experience in ages. Heck, we can even go ice skating or sledding! We'll slide down hills or even mountains of snow. Anything goes.

[His smile grows ever wider with talk of his plans, a slight excited laugh escaping him as he continues to gaze with delight.] Look, wherever you are, it doesn't matter—I can get you one of the best snow days of your life. You'll have a blast. I promise.

[ Jack Frost? Isn't that a spirit in control of the weather? Something like Father Frost, Rin thinks, but doesn't voice out loud. Instead, she gives him a polite smile almost as if she's trained in using magical artifacts as a form of communication. ]

A snow day? A little late for a storm, wouldn't you think?

[ ... someone hasn't been clued in to the fact it's no longer spring. ]

Never too late—or too early—for a little snow as long as it's cold enough.

[He returns a smile, though his comes with a laugh.] Don't worry, I'll be saving the actual blizzards for a little later in the year.

[ Is this guy serious? For a moment, she almost falls for it and then she breaks out into laughter. ]

This is some kind of early prank, isn't it? There's no way you can just make it snow on whim.

[His brow raises at the laughter, but he's rather amused by the challenge.]

I can make it snow anywhere. I can have it snowing in your room if I wanted to.

You better not make it snow in my room--[ She has a room? Cool--no wait, not cool. Want the opposite of that! ]--or else you'll be the one to clean up the mess.

And don't think I'd be incapable of finding you.

Whoa, relax! I don't even know where your room would be, I'm just stating a point. [Feisty, this one.]

Although now I'm far too intrigued to not take up this challenge of yours.

[ Some girls are hot, some girls are cold; she's both at the same time. That's not feisty, that's borderline emotional disorder. ]

You shouldn't say a thing unless you intend to go through with it. Isn't that poor manners?

[ Awkwardly trying to turn the subject back towards the important part with: ] So you can just make it snow anywhere, huh? Is it magic?

[He very much intends to go through with it, making a note to somehow figure out where her room might actually be, just for future reference.]

I guess it's magic. [Since he doesn't really know what it is or why he's even able to do it.] I've been told names like winter spirit, so I guess it's something like that.

[ This will only escalate in her lighting his room on fire. It's all fun and games with the elements until someone gets... hurt?? Probably?? ]

Winter spirit, huh... [ Trying her best to appear disinterested, but it's possible she's speaking with a spirit right now. How can she be anything but excited? ]

That earlier remark you made. Apparently you're not easily seen by others?

I've been invisible to most people for a really long time. [For fifteen years since he woke up, really.]

Animals and other spirits like me never seemed to have much trouble though.

Invisible! [ Now that's surprising... though not by much. ]

Does this mean I must be gifted if I can see a spirit? I never knew.

Maybe? So far people have had more luck with spotting me since I've been in this world. Don't know if that means you're special or if the moon finally figured it was my time to shine.

[He honestly had no idea why, but he wasn't complaining much if he was finally able to have actual conversations with folk.]

The moon? [ What does that mean? ]

Is that the source of your power? You shouldn't go around saying things like that, if so.

Huh? No, that's not exactly it. [He doesn't think so anyway. It's way too complicated for him to really even know the specifics.]

I think he's the one who made me this way, but I don't really need him around to cast anything.

[That's more of the staff. Maybe. He thinks. He really has no clue.]

The moon is sentient? [ Now she's heard everything. ]

And are you so certain the moon is a he?

I would think so considering he's spoken to me.

[Once. Now that darn thing was too stubborn to say anything else.]

[ Whaaaaat? The moon spoke to him? What a strange world this little spirit is from. ]

Then I consider myself enlightened by this news.

More importantly, it alleviates any suspicions I had of you telling an untruth. Only something like a spirit would be capable of speaking to something like that.

Suspicions? What, you thought I was lying to you?

[How could you not trust this face??]

Are you offended? You shouldn't be.

[ At least she's arrogant enough to tell him how he should be feeling. ]

[He's so excited to meet people, he's been too naive to consider that there might be certain people he shouldn't actually trust.]

Not like I'd really get anything out of tricking you though. At least not by lying.

That isn't true.

[ There's a lot to be gained about lying about one's history and what they are. ] That isn't true at all. Being able to build a new life here without anyone to say otherwise means you can say one thing and all people can do is believe you because they don't know any better.

Huh. I guess I didn't think about it that way. [People could have been lying to him this whole time, and he wouldn't know the difference.]

There wasn't really much of a life for me to really lie about to begin with.

[ Pretty much and this is why she assumes everyone is lying to her when they first meet. She's admittedly doing the same, but for ~~hypocritical~~ good reasons. ]

How can you possibly say that? As a spirit, you must have had an interesting life all around.

I mean, tossing snow around and flying has its advantages, sure. [After all, he was more than psyched when he woke up and found out he had that kind of magic.]

But it's kind of tough to enjoy it when you're invisible doing it.

Wha-? How is that tough to enjoy?

You wouldn't be bothered by anyone at all! [ Sounds like a great life to her.

Except for the part where it's lonely, but hey. Not going to unload that baggage on someone unsuspecting. ]
