[ At first the feed is silent, just showing a small grassy plain. Then, suddenly, there's a quiet little yip and something pops into view -- a puppy, looking more than a little excited, with wings fluttering around it's little body as it moves, barking at the camera (or, rather, who is behind the camera). Eventually it moves, with a scuffling noise, and Hermione's face pops into view, at least until she is mauled by the dog licking at her and clambering to get into her lap. She accepts it with good grace, of course, just laughing and patting at the lovely thing's head. ]
I was given this lovely boy by the faeries today and I have no idea who it's from - it must be a gift because I didn't ask for him, at least not this time. I wanted to say thank you to whoever it was because he's adorable! He's the cutest thing I've ever seen - and I've decided to call him Padfoot.
[ She knows Harry and Ron will understand and she hopes neither of them will be put off by the nickname. She moves to shut off the feed even as the puppy goes to try and bite at the chain holding the locket in her fingertips. ]
Padfoot, no ---
[ and it goes. ]

I was given my boon by the faeries and - it's incredible. They've given me a book that'll teach me how to make my own network, like the lockets but only for us to use. I was wondering if you'd all tell me what kind of thing you'd want, if you want a personal network for anyone or just for you and some friends? And what you'd like it on - a watch or a necklace or something? Let me know, please?

[ She shakes her head, lips curling into a bright smile. ]
That's not true! Mako had a dragon and I left him alone with it, actually.

[He pauses briefly before giving a shake of his head and an amused smirk. Because he knows the answer to his next question before he even asks it. ]
And if Hagrid had one again, eh? Then what?
private
[ She leans back, crossing her arms. ]
I'd call Charlie again, of course. Hagrid can't take care of a baby dragon, not at Hogwarts and not in his tiny little house.

[ Or if a poor muggle finds it. We never did stop to check that out. But we kind of didn't have time. ]
Dunno, he worked hard to figure out how to raise it before our help. If he had the right equipment I bet he'd manage fine.
[ not that it makes it better. but, well, at least it's not blast-ended screwts ]

[ Honestly. She sniffs, shaking her head. ]
I really don't think anyone will approve of a Hogwarts dragon, least of all the new headmaster.
Re: private
I'm fairly certain our school motto is 'never wake a sleeping dragon' for a reason.

[ REMEMBER HOW CUTE U WERE what happened :T ]
That doesn't mean we need one. Right?
Re: private
...He might never find 'em you know.
[ RUDE. ]
Need and want are different things you know. Can you imagine the twins if we had one we were there?[ Not that the mention of the twins isn't painful at all because he pauses briefly when he starts saying the word before he continues. ]

[ She coughs to hide the flush on her cheeks because, hey. She wasn't just talking about the dragon anymore, not really. Still a little flustered she shakes her head and leans back. ]
They'd have been even more terrible than they were. Honestly, you call me mental.
private
Doubt that. They'd get on fine and never notice eventually.
[ He clears his throat. ]
You are mental. Just as mental as the lot of us.
private
[ And that's that. They were a mess without Ron, she and Harry both knew it. ]
Is that intended as a compliment?
private
[ He says it simply and with a shrug. That was that. Ron believed in his friends far more then he believed in himself. Hermione was going to be off trying to change laws and Harry was becoming an Auror. Ron didn't really want of that for himself. He just wanted a normal life. The other two were more reliable and knew exactly what they were going to do...
...He was the third wheel who just kind of stuck around and always came back. That was it. Even if he always came back, it's not like he contributed much at all. Not in his mind and not from the way he saw it. They would always be steps ahead of him and he would just do his best to be there when they needed it. ]
--If I told you a proper compliment you'd probably laugh it off. So, yeah.
