[Have a curiously peering fairy, Drabwurld. It's a close up of one oddly colored green eye before it's drawn away and the rest of the face comes into focus, along with the horns and large wings as a backdrop.]

Is this some form of scrying stone? How curious. And I'm to talk into this?

[She turns to look at a pixie, one who's hovering near her head and giving her directions on how to use the locket.]

And one can address everyone this way? Marvelous.

[The pixie tells her that it's on and that currently everyone can see her and she eyes the locket again, wondering at how this particular bit of magic works.]

Greetings. To those that do not know me, my name is Maleficent. I'm curious to see if a girl has wound up here as well. Golden hair, blue eyes, and quite likely charming those around her. Her name is Aurora and if anyone has seen her, I'd very much appreciate being informed of this.

[She looks to be about to turn the locket off, but there's a small twitch of her lips as she begins talking again.]

I suppose I'd also like to be informed if anyone finds a raven who is not a raven. He's incredibly cheeky, but he's also mine.

[And that would be the end of her speech. No need for pleases and thank yous. Someone's clearly used to being obeyed.]

[How many more yellow-haired girls whose names begin with A is he going to have to look out for? He's starting to suspect that those kinds of ladies aren't worth spiriting away.]

If the raven is a familiar and he is here, you may be able to summon him.

[She'd been told what a familiar was, so the word didn't confuse her as much this time.]

He is and he is not. Not the same way as I've been told one thinks of a familiar, for I am not a witch and he is not magical.

[She had sent out a call via the trees to whisper through the leaves. If Diaval was here, he'd hear from them as well. Aurora's message was through the flowers, since Maleficent knew she'd pay more mind to them than to leaves.]

[Well, that knocks one assumption off the check list. Now the only thing he can think of that she resembles is a succubus, but that's solely because of the horns. The wings--well, he doesn't know what to think of the wings.

He doesn't ever remember succubi having familiars.] A shapeshifter then?

[curser]

Not unless I want him to be.

[And woe to her if she turns him into something he doesn't fancy. She was still hearing about the wolf incident.]

Interesting. [A bird that isn't a bird, or a shapeshifter, or a familiar.]

Do you change him yourself, or do you command it? [His witcher curiosity is tingling.]

[curser]

I change him from bird to whatever I need at the time.

[Mostly a man, but sometimes a lady needs a dragon to avenge her.]

[Wow. Remind him to stay on Maleficent's good side.] Sounds useful.

I'll try to watch for both of them, but I can't promise they're here.

[curser]

[This is a life lesson that should be widely taught. Did she mention the time she spent sixteen years tormenting a trio of pixies for being bumbleheads?]

It can be. As can he.

I understand. If either are here, though, it's quite imperative that I find out, if only for my peace of mind.

[gwynbleidd]

[Oh God. FOREVER NICE.] Of course.

[A pause.] If you see a woman with red hair whose name is Triss, tell her Geralt is looking for her. [It's a long shot, but still. Who else was with him? Oh right.] Or an elf missing an eye who is easily angered.

[curser]

If I see either, I'll pass along the news of your interest in their whereabouts.

[The red hair would interest her, since there weren't many with it where she came from. The elf might garner sympathy, unless he was angered in her direction. Then he'd get something else.]

[Triss shouldn't be hard to miss, not with a head full of that red hair. Iorveth shouldn't be either, honestly; too much of a spitfire to go unnoticed, but subtly isn't his strongest point.] Maleficent, was it?

[He gets a nod as both an affirmation of her name and an acknowledgement of his thanks. Not that she's done anything to earn it, but perhaps they could both find and guide their lost charges.]
