[ Minho has been spending most of his time in the Drabwurld just sort of... observing and exploring. Because he's been working to make a better map for the arrivals to use, and has been trying to figure out what would be the best way to go about sharing it. Would something over this weird network work? Who knows.
But he's gotten a little distracted by the whole feathers thing, and has been having a time of figuring them out. He appears on the feed for both courts with one of the little feathers pinched between thumb and forefinger, turning it back and forth. ]
So, before I came here, there wasn't any such thing as magic. It was all science, no... powers, or whatever. [ Thomas and Teresa's telepathy aside, considering that was science, too. ] Gotta say, this's pretty interesting.
[ Except then there's a distressed bleating - behhh! - and Minho snorts abruptly, sticking the feather behind his ear and reaching down out of the amulet's view to pick up... well, what looks like a small deer. ] Except for the part where a certain someone hasn't figured out how to turn back into a person, but y'know. Jeez, greenie...
[ But he turns his attention back to the world at large, nestling the fawn in his muscled arms. ] Anyways. The feathers are literally, like, everywhere. But has anyone figured out what all they do, or found anything else while picking 'em up? Like new places or some klunk.

And he's not going to let anything happen to Thomas. Not again. ]
Seriously, we'll figure it out. We'll even go to the rulers if we have to.

I don't know, I bet they'd just turn us into bugs or something. [ yes, he is still a little hurt about that whole raonil thing, okay. he lost his soldiers, he was a bad leader. thomas huffs pathetically and mushes his tiny little deer face into minho's bicep ] It has to go back eventually, right? I can't believe this is happening.

But they were out of their element in a different way than they were used to. Next time, it's not going to happen. And they'll show the rulers that, if they have to. ]
I figure there's only so much power to those little feathers, y'know? 'cause they're so small, there's no way they're powerhouses.

[ maybe that's a little bit of thomas's old WICKED self sneaking out. he used to always be eager to please--now he doesn't really know what he is while he's here. it's weird being under someone again. ]
Yeah. I just want to go back to normal. [ this is a sad, pathetic thomas. he behhhs unhappily and tucks his face into his bicep. ]
no subject
[ There's a little pinch of his fingers behind one of his ears, but it's nothing meant to cause pain. Just a small reprimand, since he can't quite bring himself to cuff a deer upside the head. ]
We'll get you back to normal. Promise, Tommy.

I hate magic. [ and you thought thomas was a complainer before, let me tell you ]
no subject
[ Yeah he's even more of a complainer. Minho doesn't even bat an eye, just carrying him off to walk around with his bundle of deer held protectively in his arms. ]
But hey, surrounded by it now.
no subject
...well because thomas put it there. awkward.
ears flopping uselessly to the side, thomas lets minho carry him about. ] Where are we going?
no subject
They'd figure it out, because they were chosen for more than just their immunity to the Flare, and he wouldn't stop until he'd gotten some kind of understanding of it. ]
We're gonna go look around. Not far, really, 'cause that'd be stupid. But just around.
no subject
[ behhhhhh. pathetic behhhh. still, thomas looks a little more interested at the idea of adventure, and his ears perk a little more. ]
Be careful with the feathers. [ it's a little jokingly, though. maybe minho cheered him up a little. ] I don't think they all do the same thing.
no subject
[ There we go, that's better. Minho continues carrying him without a care in the world, because he doesn't weigh a shuck thing in his arms.
Beefcake.]Shot a fireball with mine, earlier. And then I decided to stop shucking around with it so that I didn't do something stupid.

thomas lets out a shocked little bleat at that-- ] Wait, you had fire powers? That sounds terrifying.
[ and he was responsible with them! thomas is so proud. ]
no subject
[ He still doesn't know the extents of what Thomas did. But then again, he doesn't care. That Thomas is long gone, and this is the one that he'll protect with his life.
Except he makes an amused noise, now. ]
After you get set on fire once in your life, you kinda garner a little respect for the stuff.

thomas lifts his little deer head and presses his fuzzy cheek into minho's shoulder, near where the scars from the lightning strike had nearly killed him. thomas had refused to leave him, and if he had to go back, he'd do it all again. after all? minho was the best friend thomas could ever ask for, the only person in the world thomas truly trusted. ]
Yeah. I get it. [ he bleats again, but it's quieter. at least he can make little animal noises for things he can't say. ]
no subject
He angles his head a little, presses his cheek onto the top of Thomas'. ]
Never did thank you, I don't think. But we're more action than words, aren't we? [ It was every man for himself, and yet Thomas had come back for him without question. And he would do the same, no matter what happened, after he'd come back the first and only time he'd run away. ]
