Recently, I was gifted with several messages which I believe to be of great import. Until I am certain of their intended audience and their meaning, I am hesitant to discuss them openly. I realize, however, that others here have access to resources that I do not. In this instance, practicality constrains my caution; I would know what information others have on these matters. I would ask if the name 'Isengrim' means aught to any here, or if any know of either the Fourteenth Sigil or a Wreath festival.

[Sparse in details, but that's done purposefully. This is more fishing for people to respond than looking for information outright. She doesn't exactly want to carry these conversations over a public channel.]

[Anyone in the common areas here may stumble across Galadriel, her hair tossed up in a quick bun, bent over a map of the Drabworld, marking paths and locations with a pencil and jotting names and numbers down into a small notebook.]

Is it the fire breathing you're worried about? That won't be for another few months, and I've got it covered anyway.

The fire breathing, yes, and dragonspell. They are powerful creatures, dragons, and not to be taken lightly.

[jaywalks]

[ he frowns at that, having heard this kind of... antidragon sentiment before, and folds his arms across his chest, though his expression stays mild. ]

They were all hunted down in my world, before I was born, and they were the first firebenders. I'm going to keep taking care of her.

What's dragonspell?

You do not know of it? Dragons, or at least those of Arda, posses the ability to overcome the will and mind of even the strongest. Truthfully, I have never heard of it being successfully resisted. The tale usually ends the same; after toying with its prey for a time, in one manner or another, the dragon finally ends the misery of the hapless soul who encountered it.

Dragons no longer exist in Arda. This is a change that has come to pass within my life time, one that I rejoiced to see. I hold within my memory visions of great wings blotting out the sun, of scorched battlefields, and of dead kinsmen. Keep her if you will, but know what she is and what she may become.

Have you considered dragons from different worlds might be different? She doesn't look anything like any of the other dragons that are here, or have been here.

[ she's NICE, she's an EASTERN dragon. ]

The possibility has occurred to me, yes. [She's not exactly raising pitchforks here, after all. Just... advising caution.] Time will tell, I suppose.

[ mako turns his head to look doll properly in the eyes for a second, and she trills lightly, putting one tiny claw on his nose so she can reach up and nuzzle his hairline sweetly. it diffuses the tension in his shoulders, at least, and he looks back to lady g on the lockets. ]

Anyway, Treun. I got a message from a friend asking to look into it. He found some stuff hidden in some old books

Did he? I have only a single page, though it seems to have been ripped from a book. I would be most curious to know where he found the original texts.

The Library, in Redgate. I'm not sure what the status is of it now.

And you would be reticent, I assume, to mention the name of this friend?

Only until I know he's okay with it.

With the Caer Glaem library. Honestly, it isn't exactly high in my research priorities.

No, I imagine it would not be. Still, if you do learn aught of interest, would you it trouble you overmuch to inform me of it?
