Second Bloom ❀ (Video) [Open to both]
[Flora is outside, sitting on what appears to be a swing, but in place of chains are woven vines. As time passes, little flowers bloom along their length. The locket is not on her person, it hovers in front of her, and the view shows her wearing what look like a white overall dress over a pink top and work gloves. Several fairies are flying around her, braiding her hair, or sitting on either shoulder. She waves before gently taking hold of the vine chains.]
Hello everyone, I hope you're well.
[Her voice is more deliberate with the well wishes, and her smile is kind, knowing. A lot's happened--when isn't it--but she does hope everyone has come out of it for the better, somehow. It's no meaningless platitude.
She moves to put her finger to her lip, remembers she's wearing gloves and thinks better of it, and instead cants her head thoughtfully. Her voice is gentle and curious.]
There's something I've been wondering about for a while now, and don't quite seem to understand, just yet. [There is a slight upturn to her lips. She is a patient girl, but she can't say she likes not understanding things. It's what she always seeks to do, if she can.] I've heard of some things from other people that were kind enough to answer me [mostly kind, anyway. Zelos was a little rude.] but with so many people from so many places, I'm curious about the similarities and differences.
[She looks directly at the locket.]
What exactly is a God or Goddess? Or what would you say make one? The same with angels. Is this something that has some sort of set criteria or is it more malleable?
[One might notice that she doesn't ask about demons, but that's because she doesn't realise there's a need; they're the same as monsters to her.
Flora dips her head in thanks and smiles, once again.]
Please, I would very much like to hear what anyone has to say. Thank you.
[Seelie Locked]
I'm headed to the mountains for a mission, soon. I just thought I should mention that. It should be interesting.

[Her tones is cautious. She can hazard a guess and isn't quite so naive, but she wants to remain optimistic.
She smiles at this love of whales. It's cute, and she understands it.]
I think you would very much like Melody, the planet where one of my best friends was born. The Singing Whales keep the whole world in balance. I haven't seen them myself, but they seem very lovely, and their music is said to be quite wondrous.
[Okay, but f a s h i o n !
She points to her eyes.]
Yes. My eyes are very green, you see--um, pun not intended--so wearing blue can be a little tricky since it can clash very badly, sometimes. It depends on how I'm wearing it.

[ There is no small amount of scorn in his voice for it. ]
Should I ever have a chance, I will have to visit.
[ He doesn't actually know if that sort of thing is even remotely possible, but none of this should have been possible, either. ]
I see, [ he thinks. ] And what would, ah- 'clash' with me?
[ You know, creepy pale skin, creepy black eyes, dark hair, yaoi hands? ]
no subject
I see...is there anything being done about that? Any regulations or people fighting againstit?
[IS THERE A
WHALEGREENPEACE!]You just might. It's a very big universe. Or multi-verse, as it were, and if this is possible, anything should be. I'm used to getting around, myself. [Her smile becomes something more wistful, almost worried.] The ocean was actually very important for me back home.
[She smiles brightly and can't help but think of Stella, who'd may or may not be proud of her.]
Well, first off you're fine with your eyes, because black and white go with everything as a matter of course, so there's no need to worry about anything clashing with them. I love bright colours, but I'm all for what suits most of all, and things like bright oranges or yellows may not go over very well with you. [She wrinkles her nose and then tries so very hard not to laugh at the idea of The Outsider in a daisy print shirt.
Or better, Hawaiian and cargo shorts.
She raises a hand to her mouth and it trembles with the force of trying to hold it--yeah that's not happening, she giggles quite a bit.
She would pay to see that, and would have quite a bit of fun with it. Maybe he'd enjoy them, now wouldn't that be something?]
Sorry, I'm sorry.
[She clears her throat and tilts her head, pondering. Stella is so much better at this than she is.] You're...very restrained, but in such a complex, regal way. You say you're an observer, which is easy to relegate to the background, but when you're around, there's a lot about you that commands attention, and a closer look. I do think blues and purples would suit you, like deeper hues, richly dyed. Or any deeper colours. They've an understated, but undeniable elegance. I think things that could invoke the night might work, too. Something that's simple to write off as scary, and that's not baseless, but easily misunderstood.
[She breaks into a whimsical smile.]
But at the end of it, fashion is what you make of it. It's an art, it's fun, it's sometimes an absolute necessity, but always about self-discovery and expression. Wear what you like!
[A beat.]
Except for socks with sandals.

[ And of course, that scientist was the one that was correct. ]
Why would they not- ah, "go well"?
[ Also why are you laughing, Flora. He's very confused. ]
I shall keep your advice in mind. Perhaps I will visit the seamstress and see their craft in person.

[Said in the tone of OF COURSE THEY HAVE FEELINGS AND FAMILIES?
WHALES AREN'T NOBODIES??]Your complexion is more pale. Very bright and bold colours might be too distracting and drown you out, so to speak. Clothes are there to complement, accentuate and flatter. They're there to work for you, not the other way around. Of course, you could ignore the rules too, sometimes. Very little's carved in stone. Though what people try to do more often is bend; there's a time and place for everything.
I can't lie, the court tailors very much know what they're doing and are very fun. [She smiles excitedly.] You'll show me if you get something new, won't you? I'm curious.
no subject
[ And if they did, he does not know if they would care. ]
And what of what I'm wearing now?
[ He's wearing black and brown together, Flora. ]
Of course.
i love them so much tho
[It's sad, honestly, and she would take the time to talk about it, because that is how she is, but she would first gather up all the whales, because seriously.]
It does suit you and the cuts are very nice, but it's the only outfit I've ever seen you in. [She grins, slightly.] Which seems a little strange to me for a being of chaos of all things.
[Pointing out the elephant in the room like this should be blasphemous for a cartoon character of all things, but she actually changes outfits like five times an episode, okay. She's allowed to notice.
But she looks pleased at bunch at being told "yes".]
I'm sure you'll look very dashing in anything.
me tooooo ;;
[ He assumes it would be less than good for Flora, but- well, she may just be able to take care of herself. ]
It is an outfit that is entirely unremarkable, in my own world. It allows me to... mingle, should I choose to do so, without revealing myself.
no subject
Do you dance, by the way?
no subject
I have never tried.
no subject
Never? How old are you, again?
no subject
no subject
And you've never...out of curiosity, when you say "mingle" where and how do you usually?
no subject
It depends. Taverns, sometimes. Parties. The streets.
no subject
That's not very interesting!
[NAILED IT.]
no subject
[ NO ONE WANTS TO DANCE WITH HIM :C ]
no subject
But!! But!!! She smiles.]
I would dance with you! And, honestly, if this place is anything like where I come from, and it is in a lot of ways, balls are as inevitable as the sunrise.
Besides, it's fun and a good way to learn about people, too.

[ Even if she just approaches with the intent. It doesn't mean he'll actually reply, but- well, for Flora, he most likely will. ]

Would you mind if I called you back in say about half an hour? Will you be busy?
no subject
Aaaaction also i'm sorry
[When she closes the connection, she immediately gets to it.
Flora is curious, but not an idiot. She doesn't build the shrine to him in Seelie territory, nor does she venture too far north, either. No, she puts it together just a little ways away from the Daonna fairy ring, in neutral territory. There is a wooden stand artfully draped in fabrics in hues of purple and blue and framed with flowers in the same colours.
She's not done something quite like this before, and for a moment feels like she's back in school doing an assignment. Is this enough, is there something she's missing? She recalls the things he's mentioned, but she'd rather not have clutter. But then, this should be more about function over aesthetics, right?
Maybe she should just stop worrying and give it a try, already.
Flora stands before it, clears her throat, and begins to speak.]
From where things begin and so must end
The place unto static chaos rend
I call the one who walks Between
Eyes ever watchful, but lives unseen
And if by them I should be worthy
Humbly, I ask he appear before me
Outsider.
[She knows she didn't have to do all that, but what's the point of being a fairy if you can't throw in a little pizzazz every once in a while?]
his new favorite tbh
The Outsider appears before the shrine, but he turns his head enough to look at it. It's quite different to most shrines built to him -- most likely because there are few flowers in Dunwall and they tend to be build by madmen. ]
I like the flowers, [ he says first, then turns his head back to look at her. ] And the verse.
aww yeah
Thank you! I haven't had a need to come up with an incantation in a while, so I'm glad I'm not completely out of practise. Oh, these are for you. [She says these, but curiously, it is a single coin that appears between her thumb and forefinger.]
Think fast!
[She flips it up and a little in his direction to catch, but in the air the coin bursts into a bouquet of those same blue and purple flowers.]
