Second Bloom ❀ (Video) [Open to both]
[Flora is outside, sitting on what appears to be a swing, but in place of chains are woven vines. As time passes, little flowers bloom along their length. The locket is not on her person, it hovers in front of her, and the view shows her wearing what look like a white overall dress over a pink top and work gloves. Several fairies are flying around her, braiding her hair, or sitting on either shoulder. She waves before gently taking hold of the vine chains.]
Hello everyone, I hope you're well.
[Her voice is more deliberate with the well wishes, and her smile is kind, knowing. A lot's happened--when isn't it--but she does hope everyone has come out of it for the better, somehow. It's no meaningless platitude.
She moves to put her finger to her lip, remembers she's wearing gloves and thinks better of it, and instead cants her head thoughtfully. Her voice is gentle and curious.]
There's something I've been wondering about for a while now, and don't quite seem to understand, just yet. [There is a slight upturn to her lips. She is a patient girl, but she can't say she likes not understanding things. It's what she always seeks to do, if she can.] I've heard of some things from other people that were kind enough to answer me [mostly kind, anyway. Zelos was a little rude.] but with so many people from so many places, I'm curious about the similarities and differences.
[She looks directly at the locket.]
What exactly is a God or Goddess? Or what would you say make one? The same with angels. Is this something that has some sort of set criteria or is it more malleable?
[One might notice that she doesn't ask about demons, but that's because she doesn't realise there's a need; they're the same as monsters to her.
Flora dips her head in thanks and smiles, once again.]
Please, I would very much like to hear what anyone has to say. Thank you.

[It's sad, honestly, and she would take the time to talk about it, because that is how she is, but she would first gather up all the whales, because seriously.]
It does suit you and the cuts are very nice, but it's the only outfit I've ever seen you in. [She grins, slightly.] Which seems a little strange to me for a being of chaos of all things.
[Pointing out the elephant in the room like this should be blasphemous for a cartoon character of all things, but she actually changes outfits like five times an episode, okay. She's allowed to notice.
But she looks pleased at bunch at being told "yes".]

It is an outfit that is entirely unremarkable, in my own world. It allows me to... mingle, should I choose to do so, without revealing myself.

[When she closes the connection, she immediately gets to it.
Flora is curious, but not an idiot. She doesn't build the shrine to him in Seelie territory, nor does she venture too far north, either. No, she puts it together just a little ways away from the Daonna fairy ring, in neutral territory. There is a wooden stand artfully draped in fabrics in hues of purple and blue and framed with flowers in the same colours.
She's not done something quite like this before, and for a moment feels like she's back in school doing an assignment. Is this enough, is there something she's missing? She recalls the things he's mentioned, but she'd rather not have clutter. But then, this should be more about function over aesthetics, right?
Maybe she should just stop worrying and give it a try, already.
Flora stands before it, clears her throat, and begins to speak.]
From where things begin and so must end
The place unto static chaos rend
I call the one who walks Between
Eyes ever watchful, but lives unseen
And if by them I should be worthy
Humbly, I ask he appear before me
Outsider.
[She knows she didn't have to do all that, but what's the point of being a fairy if you can't throw in a little pizzazz every once in a while?]

The Outsider appears before the shrine, but he turns his head enough to look at it. It's quite different to most shrines built to him -- most likely because there are few flowers in Dunwall and they tend to be build by madmen. ]
I like the flowers, [ he says first, then turns his head back to look at her. ] And the verse.
aww yeah
Thank you! I haven't had a need to come up with an incantation in a while, so I'm glad I'm not completely out of practise. Oh, these are for you. [She says these, but curiously, it is a single coin that appears between her thumb and forefinger.]
Think fast!
[She flips it up and a little in his direction to catch, but in the air the coin bursts into a bouquet of those same blue and purple flowers.]

Marvelous, [ he all but purrs. In the next breath, there is a carved bone charm sitting in his palm. ]

You know, I could almost say that that's cheating. [She wouldn't.]
[Carefully, Flora picks the bone charm from his hand and examines it with a curious smile.]
Thank you, it's wonderful. When did you even have time? Unless you had some extra on hand.
[Speaking of "on" she's not sure how she's supposed to wear it, not that that's a problem. Flora snaps her fingers and--nothing happens. She huffs a little, remembering. She still hasn't broken the habit.]

In recent [ meaning last couple hundred or so ] years they have often been made of broken bones lashed together, but I have always been partial to keeping the bones intact, if possible. That is how they did it in the old days, with the tusks of walruses.
[ Watching her attempt to- well, to do something and have it fail catches his eye, though. ]

[Flora is attentive to his explanation. She doesn't have an inherent problem with bone. Waste not, want not as they say.]

[At the question, she pouts, mildly.]
I can't conjure things any more. I usually remember, but it's hard not to slip up, sometimes. I wanted to make a necklace of this.

Ah. So you have felt the loss of magic as well in this world. I had wondered.

[As well they should be.]
And yes, I mean, in terms of loss, it could have been worse for me, but it can be just a little inconvenient at times. It's really more the principle of the thing.
[But dude, her life has been so hard, lately. She's had to leave to go shopping a lot more. CAN'T HOLD ALL THESE BURDENS. ]
That's a marvellous idea. [Flora's hand beings to glow green, and a two exquisitely thin vines begin to grow from the top of the charm. They don't break, damage, or otherwise disturb it, but they seem attached to it, nonetheless. She holds the charm high on her chest while they coil around her neck, and while it's not immediately visible, they join seamlessly at the back.
She snaps her fingers again, and this time, a mirror appears hovering in front of her. She seems satisfied because it disappears again, and she's still smiling.]
