[ out in the Unseelie courtyard, surrounded by inky black thorn bushes (how appropriate,) Loki sits on the ground, rustling through the plants as delicately as possible. he seems amused enough, a small bundle of the plants already gathered in a cloth in his lap. ]

Atropa belladonna. Once known to be an effective anesthetic and even as a beauty aid, but now more commonly used as a deadly poison, able to render even the most mighty of warriors powerless. A useless, hallucinating, drooling pile on the ground.

Oft considered one of the primary tools of the witch. [ he laughs a little to himself. ] How fitting.

Where I come from, there are nine known, documented realms. Nine worlds. The realms of the gods, the giants, the dying, and the dead among them. I have seen most all of them myself, and I must say, they hardly compare to the remarkable land I find myself in now. Very quaint.

I am only a curious information gatherer, much like anyone else should be upon arrival in foreign territory.

And flaunting your knowledge of poisons is supposed to aid you in this quest for information?

Of course. Not only does it keep away those who do not wish to be messed with, but it also opens up opportunities for potential allies. Someone wishes to poison their opponents, I can offer them that aid.

So it's half-warning, half-advertisement?

The problem with poisons is that they're unreliable. You'd have to assume the person you're poisoning is physiologically human, and around here, that's a dangerous assumption.

All the more reason to gather enough supplies and test it out first, yes?

Test it out how? You usually get just the one shot at poisoning somebody, unless they're exceptionally slow on the uptake.

[ Because people would just jump at the exciting prospect of being test subjects for a poison. ]
