oo1; video, seelie & unseelie
[ out in the Unseelie courtyard, surrounded by inky black thorn bushes (how appropriate,) Loki sits on the ground, rustling through the plants as delicately as possible. he seems amused enough, a small bundle of the plants already gathered in a cloth in his lap. ]
Atropa belladonna. Once known to be an effective anesthetic and even as a beauty aid, but now more commonly used as a deadly poison, able to render even the most mighty of warriors powerless. A useless, hallucinating, drooling pile on the ground.
Oft considered one of the primary tools of the witch. [ he laughs a little to himself. ] How fitting.
Tell me about yourselves, my new friends. Your worlds, your myths, your folklore. Your legends and your mysteries. I will share my own, in return.
Where I come from, there are nine known, documented realms. Nine worlds. The realms of the gods, the giants, the dying, and the dead among them. I have seen most all of them myself, and I must say, they hardly compare to the remarkable land I find myself in now. Very quaint.
I am sure there are others among you who agree, no? I can't be the only one who feels so very at home here.

well sure, okay, but now we have to start questioning which among them is the squirrely one. ]
I suppose that's one word for it. But I find the decor a little more suitable to my own preferences. Likely not the same of yours, as it were.

Pretty into the whole macabre thing, then, yeah? [ s h r u g s ] Don't really have a preference one way or the other. Livin' here's a lot more ostentatious than I'm used to. So it just all feels outta sorts.
no subject
It's not terrible. [ perking up a bit though, seems like potential interesting conversation when we're throwing words like 'ostentatious' around. ] Surely you'll be accustomed to your new dwellings soon enough. You don't sound too distressed about it.
no subject
What's to be distressed about? I mean sure, it ain't [ still interesting enough using that grammatical blunder? ] home, but I guess it's better than sleepin' on the ground or gettin' shot at. Can't say any'a this is my style, though.
[ it is what it is and he'll deal with it as it comes. because he has to; he's got to adapt. but. enough about him. he jerks his head a little, gesturing with his chin. ]
So, what're ya doin' with that stuff, anyway? Some sort of witch, or somethin'? [ since. he did say it was fitting. and it's not like it'd be surprising in a place that has fairies and elves and all this weird shit. ]
no subject
A roof over one's head is certainly better than none, hm?
[ he glances at his collected pile of leaves, various plants and toxins among them. definitely useful for the future, but no need to get into it in detail. ]
I thought I would make myself a bouquet. Something to put on the table at dinner, you know. [ it's bullshit and anyone listening can tell that, but it's more fun to be a sassy little shit than to openly spell out that yes he's planning to use this to make poisons to dip his weapons into for added effect. ] I think they would liven up the atmosphere quite nicely. Wouldn't you agree?
no subject
Liven up the atmosphere... [ he laughs, outright: loud and amused. ] You're a strange fella. I think ya need some color to liven that bunch up.
no subject
You think? Perhaps I should look for something in red. [ like your insides wanna volunteer ]
no subject
Still pretty macabre, but whatever tickles your fancy, pal.
no subject
Better to work with what is available than to long for something more, no?
no subject
Long for something more? Kinda gettin' the feelin' this ain't about flowers anymore.
no subject
Whatever gave you that idea?
no subject
Dunno. Maybe a hunch. You don't seem like the type who longs for just flowers.
no subject
We've only just met. Don't assume so much right at the start.
