[ His voice is almost monotonous, but there is something like music in it – like whale song. ]

To be pulled away to the Drabwurld, asked to take part in this war. I wonder if they truly know what they are doing. [ His hand returns, head moving back so that he can look straight at the camera. ]

I hear there was a battle. One should expect such things, in war. I suppose I should ask about it. [ He doesn’t. Instead- ]

They're like...when people get chosen by the fal'cie, well before all the fal'cie died, they were given a focus and magic powers. If it seemed like they were faltering in their focus, their Eidolon would appear and try to kill them. Of course.

The fal'cie were basically jerks.

If they won, they got control over it. Lightnin's eidolon was Odin.

And what is a "fal'cie"?

[ If it were anyone else, they would likely be getting irritated at having to ask so many questions. The Outsider may feel a twinge of it, as he's used to being able to observe and know, but at least it's all interesting so far. ]

I guess gods isn't quite the right word. They were more like...lesser gods, created by Bhunivelse. They were left behind when he departed, and they ran the world.

But they were manipulating people for milennia, trying to create a way to bring their creator back. They decided to kill off all the humans to see if that would make him notice.

But Lightning and her friends stopped them. I wasn't alive back then.

I am from the Void, outside of the world. But the world I watch -- there is an empire, Gristol, made of several island nations. There is a far continent, Pandyssia, where wild things grow and kill, where magic flourishes.

Trust me, they aren't spirits. They're gods.

[She sways side to side as he speaks.]

Sounds big and fancy. And is this void all over the place there too?

It is a separate realm. But present, in a sense, yes.

So not really dangerous.

The chaos was eating my world.
